24 years ago, i flew with LH to and from IAH. I remember the Airport with airline logos on a rolling "scroll" at the checkin in July 2001. Some ad displays at German railway stations still have posters on a roll and scroll through these every 10 seconds or so. When we checked in back then, Lufthansa staff just opened the counter and they scrolled through United airlines, Air Canada, Continental first before Lufthansa scrolled up. It was very slowly. After clearing security, we got to our gates where the same poster scroller was installed and at the gate in Terminal B(?), the poster got stuck and they had to move it manually.

My mom would have flown out of there last October to Minneapolis St Paul, and then from there to Utah on Delta by herself. Unfortunately that didn't work out due to some Karen neighbor wanting us out of the neighborhood we were in at the time. And that was while we were in the travel trailer which we spent the better part of 8 months in.

IAH definitely brings back fond memories for me.

Another fond childhood airport! Many years ago, my mom flew out of there to Seattle for my late grandpa Bernie's funeral, she went on her own of course since I was still quite young back then.

This brings back so many childhood memories back in the 2000's and even into the early 2010's! The last time I recall flying on a major airline was way back in 2007 from IAH to Denver, and then onwards to either Billings or Bozeman.

I used to live within walking distance of Huntington Station, about a 5-10 min metro ride to Reagan. My apartment had a beautiful view of DCA's arrivals on their final descent over the Potomac. Also, landing at DCA can offer a stunning view of the National Harbor!

American does not serve PDX from DCA, it does serve LAX and LAS.

I’ve been a dc native my whole life, flown out of BWI the most, Reagan a few times, but never IAD. I will be flying out of it next month for the first time ever and I’m excited. I’m quite familiar with the airport already as I have a lot of business there, but I’m excited to finally be a passenger.
