Something I always liked about the band MercyMe was how open they were about the styles of music that made them who they are today: Tom Petty, U2, Phil Collins ... the sounds and styles you see and hear in their music and concerts. I'm seeing that same magic here with the strong southern blues influence that comes through in Needtobreathe's own music coming out loud and proud with these songs! Christians today need to realize that music itself is not the enemy, but how it's used. Putting pride, passion and spirit into songs that speak to your soul, regardless of their origin ... just brings back memories of the original "Christian Hits" musicians like Elvis, Johnny Cash, and the like!!

None years ago I went to a show that n2b was a pre headline band. Loved washed by the water and streets of gold. When they did this medley, I was blown away. The newest live from the woods album is amazing.

Honestly, your version of "Mojo Workin'" is my FAVOURITE! I've looked up the original and a whole bunch of other ones, but they feel so dead and bored, but you guys are so full of life (and maybe some sass). I WISH you would record your own version of Mojo & Folsom so I could listen to them in my car! :)

I know around this time period his main overdrive was the JHS Morning Glory. He used a lot of combining effects for different things too. He uses the Strymon Flint for some reverb sounds as well as a Boss octave pedal. I know this is 3 years late, but hey, better late than never???

could someone please explain what this song is trying to say? I do not understand the meaning of the white fences? I totally like this song. I have the CD and it is one of my favorite songs to listen to. Many are stating that this is a powerful song so I would like to know exactly what it is about. Thank you!!!

+Candy Vazquez "White picket fence" is similar to "a home in the suburbs" The couple falls in love marries, works hard and eventually establishes a family in a small but clean and peaceful home. In this song, I think it refers to the loss of the marriage that they had as well as the future he thought he had with his wife. She wants out, so she refuses to forgive and keeps throwing past mistakes in his face, which is heartbreaking. Right now, he's feels lost and wonders how he will ever feel whole again. But the presumed answer to "who is going to mend these white fences" is God, who can heal the pain and suffering in a human heart.
