@3meninabasement I was on their FB page leading up to the show and told them this is no longer a con but a fan expo and basically a bunch of people laughed at me saying thats how these shows are. People pay for the celebrities so they don't mind paying the extra to see these people. Lmao so apparently they don't mind spending hundreds to say hi for a second and move on.

Sorry one last quick thing cause my comment was super long so I asked if CBCS was going to be there cause I wanted to encapsulate the artwork and they said no and directed me to a post saying they said that earlier in the week I read it and all it said was JSA & Captured Collectables was going to be there It didn’t say anything like unfortunately CBCS won’t be joining us this weekend but look for JSA and Captured Collectables for autograph or graded needs Again whoever runs their social media they’re very incompetent

Ya it’s amazing how they’ve been doing this show for 10 years and their ability to still fuck up a floor plan every other year is wild It was so packed Saturday I wasn’t going to go again Saturday after I spent my whole day last year meeting two people on the ice But I didn’t do any celebrities so I didn’t run into line issues it was just very packed people were trying to find any place to stand out of the way and it was impossible I also got some stuff done by Decarlo he did a full body Wonder Woman and a Batman&Robin head sketches on my Batman 181 blank cover and Greg Horn drew an Ivy head Joe St Pierre did a Ghost Spider and a Goblin Queen…Ben Bishop signed my Hardcover Last Ronin I brought from home and that was fun getting to talk with him This is definitely a show that frustrates me they waste a whole floor for celebrity pro photos and then they wonder why 3rd floor was jammed with people When celebrities were on the 5th floor people would go to the 5th floor and make room for shopping and stuff Was it the golden age guy you spoke with? Cause he was expensive he had a Batman 181 in a 6.0 really wanted it but it was priced at $1,800 you can find a 6.0-6.5 on Instagram for $800-$1,000 And I doubt there was any talking him down we were talking and he expressed frustrations about it not being worth setting up for comics here there was about 6-8 people last year selling books and this year there was only him and J&S Collectables that was a comic only focused vendor I’m very sick of the incompetence of the show runners a lot of what you expressed is a lot of everyone’s frustrations in their comments One girl got sent to the wrong line for will call ticket pickup had to get in another line and missed a panel your friend got very lucky she was able to stay in the line after they directed her to the wrong one They really need to stop leaving the volunteer staff uniformed about the show layout when people are setting up Thursday night staff should walk them through and show them what’s going to be where But I’m glad for the most part you all had fun I wasn’t going to do MJF cause he was an online autograph only and after hearing how they handled his line with people I’m glad I decided not to do that I figured his fee might’ve went to his foundation but for the price I would’ve wanted to at least say hi and thank him for his work

Ya they were pretty quick I had some stuff for drop off not signed at that show the laptop was weird at first but I liked it cause I sometimes don’t have the cleanest handwriting so to be able to type it and they print it out was good

Nice grabs. I wasn't able to get there until about 1:30p, and it was relatively picked clean. I picked up a few decent comics, but pretty much felt all the big-time keys were already taken. Oh well, maybe next spring....
