Fantastic! This MUST :) be your last one before 2025 :) May I ask an ignoramus (me, not you) question about neck length and why you do it? Is there a resonance technology behind different neck lengths - and you obviously have to incorporate different gauge strings yes/no :() was just wondering what the correlation was - how it worked! :) Gregg - Perth, Western Australia
@nyberginstruments40119 күн бұрын
Thanks Gregg. I have to be conscious when changing scale lengths for given tunings. the longer the length, the narrower I can get the gauge. Long scales have a deeper sustain.
@quasialien18 күн бұрын
@@nyberginstruments401 So, I think I get it, " Long scales have a deeper sustain!" I've just learnt something ! And I actually do like the longer sustains :) - like you had with that POC & Kalatox cittern a year ago! Thank you, Lawrence :)

Where can you buy strings for a long scale cittern?
@nyberginstruments40120 күн бұрын
Yes. In the case of my tailpieces, which are for ball end, I can put together sets from single strings. Best way to do it is from juststrings.com and their bulk pb singles.

As the owner of this gorgeous mandolin, I can attest to the absolute mastery that Lawrence brings to his craft. This mandolin is perfection - beautiful to look at and a dream to play. Hiya Lawrence, your instruments are truly exquisite and I have never seen anyone achieve a finish with such depth as you do. I was looking on your website earlier and although you don't advertise them, may I ask if you ever make mandolin armrests please? There's only two that I can find anywhere that make them bespoke, both in America. Thanks very much, take care, David.
