Regarding your hood issue... Figure out the volume of your intake piping, then make rectangular or oval intake piping of the same volume. This will lower the clearance needed for your hood. Next option would be to cut/reweld your intake plenum, to lower your intake piping mount....but welding on the cast intake could get hairy.

No cowl hood is clearing that . And omg the money dude...why. u could have turboed this way cheaper. U need to also relocate everything. Use the stock hood . Its cobbled together. Put everything in back or atleast the radiator and fan. So you have room for the other shat acan put the sway bar on. And u can put the turbo on the otherside so u can close the hood. The piping looks really rough. Nobody cares about the welds when it looks like a middle school kid piped it. Why spend all that money just to do it quick and simple. Tuck everything off somewhere like a real car you buy new not lia slapped together high-school kid .

I have a 2wd white one from down south. Its way lighter and has the 8.25 rear end with 355 gears. It would be way better to turbo than a 4x4. Mine will gap that thing now without a turbo lol. Funny af talking about jeep cherokees racing tho i feel dumb 😅

"I got the Jeep running and driving two weeks ago just to find out the auto trans was slipping bad. In the past two weeks, I’ve worked 12-13 hour days, then came home and worked on the jeep until 10:30-11:00 at night and managed to get the Jeep completely manual swapped. It was a struggle but nothing was going to stop me from making it to the 1st Annual Welding Unlimited Car Show . The Jeep did amazing, and although I was extremely underwhelmed with the hp/tq numbers (I still don’t believe it only made 270hp/370tq), the thing is a complete blast to drive now and I’ve fallen back in love with it. Huge thanks to anybody who lended a hand, especially Colton Bower, I owe you big time. I’m going to take a nap now, then I think it’s time to finally take it to the drag strip." From his Facebook 5 days ago! Hopefully we get strip vids.

So you’re just running the stock auto trans with a shift kit? Did you do anything to the torque converter/flex plate?
@Mo_Money734 ай бұрын
That motor is badass man. My wj 4.0 busted a stock piston skirt. Motors out and at the machine shop. I wanna do it a close to stock but beefed up and run a turbo at low boost. Very low like 8 psi - 10 just want it to run reliably because my pockets ain’t deep enough to rebuild it again. What pistons do you run and rings? And how’s the bottom end hold up? Anything else I should look into to? I’ve got a Mehle head gasket arp head bolts high volume oil pump and all the goods. Just struggling on what bore and piston is gonna work and if my bottom end basically stock but rebuild is gonna last

Just a heads up no 1st or 4th gear 99% of the time is a bad tps. Sounds crazy but it supply's the reference signal for the tcm. If the tps test good another sensor on that circuit is shorted or a short on that loop of the wiring harness.
@andrewmoney74245 ай бұрын
Great content man. I’ve been curious if anyone has ever swapped that motor and trans into another car. Since I saw your reels along with a few others I’ve decided to put one in my Duster. I just haven’t seen others do it and I wonder why. You seem to be having a blast

@@edwardanspach5405it's not hard at all if you change to 27lb 4 port injectors and have a jtec ecm and only push 5-8 psi you can beget by with no tune and a map sensor by pass ...but to do it right you're looking at 3k minimum but it's soooooo worth it
