Thank you for the video bro! I was curious how did you find out your pricing for your products, and what was your process like getting going on etsy? It would be cool to see how you went about some of the other admin stuff, and the design stuff too, can't wait to see how the journey goes!

What's your strategy to finding good products to sell on your Etsy? And have you seen any change on sales based on the fact you're starting to put out videos about it?

Thanks for the videos, I want to set up a farm and I purchased a p1s but I found that it was really loud, so now I'm considering the A1 or after seeing your videos an A1 mini, I wonder how you feel about printing with all this A1 mini at the same time in a room? many thanks

Also first black Friday for me, whole weekend 10-15 orders per day. All my products are now on all marketplaces, next year's plan is to automate everything with FBA. I also don't see how this is really scalable without doing this. Like your channel alot, good luck

So... I do not know how to design. I know the basics of Solidworks, but nowhere near of designing a product from scratch. I want to start getting into the business (Waiting for my bambu A1). But I don't know if to put effort on buying models and try to sell that with thousands of competitors or invest time (limited) into studying product design and Actual design software... Ideas?

Awesome videos. Great content. Very relatable. I am located in Colombia and Etsy is not supported here. I know you mentioned in another video looking to open a Shopify store also. What other strategies would you recommend for getting your products out there?

Love your videos! Thank you for sharing your experience. However, the constant camera panning makes it difficult for me to follow, and it's quite uncomfortable.

I never comment on KZbin. But your story is so relatable. I’m 28 years old and I’ve also been trying to do my own thing for the longest time. I’ve been looking into buying the Bambu Labs A1 Mini, and seeing you with 4 of them is really encouraging and motivating to jump into this space.

Another great video! Keep up the great work, I see you probably are using a DJI Osmo… I love how it was tracking you but man it seems hyper focused on you so the back and forth movements during the Timelapse are slightly jarring. Could just be me. 🤷🏽♂️

I’ve been struggling with about 7-10 orders daily for the last 4 days and it’s been tough. Love seeing the progress. And the pocket 3 is such an amazing camera.
@LexxDesign3D18 сағат бұрын
10 orders a day is tough?
@Rootkitdev17 сағат бұрын
@ it’s mainly 2 products. One that prints into parts. Both take 12 hours to print for 2 lamps of them. The other product is a niche electrical component that takes a lot of soldering to put together. I also work from 8-5. And have a rule where I’m with my kids from 5-8 and put them down. So it’s basically been a 8:30pm-1am thing. Just been tough. I know 10 doesn’t seem like much. And if it was just straight off the build plate to a box. That would be completely different

Questions on business organization - while I'm sure this varies from location to location - such as: do you have an LLC or are you registered with a DBA? And/or an EIN? I want to start but these decisions (like whether to use an EIN to protect myself) are holding me back. Separetely, have you ever done craft fairs?
@OfficialOffDaBenchКүн бұрын
You don't need a filed business to start making money on Etsy and Ebay. I'd say just get started, then register once you have some regular sales. I've not done craft fairs, but will add that to my idea list :)

This is great! Start with what you have. The ender 2 pro is a great first printer. I got one as my first printer and now have the Bambu A1. If you can afford it I can’t recommend the A1 enough. The ender is a great starter printer though.

I was hoping to hear more about the actual process, not the constraints you place on yourself for your design. Things like: deciding what concepts/ideas to design, what steps in the prototyping/design process, how to go from prototype to product, how to test/iterate a design, what software, do you scan parts or recreate them with a bunch of calliper measurements, how to make a design that meets your considerations, etc
@OfficialOffDaBenchКүн бұрын
I'll try to add some more of that in future videos! The unfortunate truth is the actual design process, it trial and error. The constraints on my design process are more informative to the final product than the actual process of 3D modeling.

I bought an A1 recently and it's by far the best 3d printer I've ever used, some of the parts I've printed so far look so good you'd think they were injection moulded if I didn't say they were 3d printed!

I've wanted to start a 3d printing business and I'm learning on-shape after 2+ years of experience in tinkercad and I'm enjoying but I've scared of getting overwhelmed if I get more orders than I can process.
@OfficialOffDaBenchКүн бұрын
Good news is you probably won't get a flood of orders right away, so you'll have some time to lean into it. Only one way to find out!
@mab41103 күн бұрын
Small tip for when you’ll be out on vacation or whatnot. Increase the processing time of your orders instead of taking the listing down. I can’t process any orders for this week so I extended processing time to 1-2 weeks and I’m still getting some orders.

Could make one of the holes a vertical slot so it is easier to level. Also could be more mounting holes since they're free to add and will be covered.

I also do product design for 3d printing in my business. I 100% agree with your approach. Supports should be avoided as much as possible and quality models truly result in less post processing time. Should be getting quality parts right off the plate, ready to be sold. Would love to see you do a video on how you go about optimizing designs for the 3d printing process, not enough people talking about the importance of that.

I guess another question I would have is why battery holders? Seems market is fully saturated with those. Are you actually finding success there? Maybe my issue is even if I think market is full maybe there really is room for me. IDK...
@OfficialOffDaBenchКүн бұрын
The short answer is no, not a ton of success, but I also haven't had them up for a very long time. The question for me is not is the market saturated, but is the product complimentary to others. If I am selling a charger bracket, you bet I want the customer to also buy the battery mount and tool mount from me as well :)
@philcarpenter4 күн бұрын
@4:05 I guess my question would be why not just buy another build plate? Or get a new skin for it? They have plate skins that will transfer some wild looking holographic if ya wanted to. Personally I just like the micro texture of the PEI plates.
@OfficialOffDaBenchКүн бұрын
I am going to order some new build plates that may solve this issue, but the smooth texture plates I was using left micro scratch marks that could not be removed from the final product. Created too many "failed" prints, so I just took that option away.
