I’m in the latter part of my life now and there are some things I questioned in my youth that are becoming clearer as I get older. I was raised in the Bible Belt with church being the center of my life so you can imagine some of the things I was taught and believed. However, I always questioned everything, but one incident changed my entire way of feeling things I believed. My devout Christian mother was laying on her deathbed in my house on hospice, about 5 days before she died she asked the chaplain to leave and not return, she told him he was walking around with his eyes open but seeing nothing. That was totally unusual for her!! A couple days later she asked me to sit with her, with every bit of sincerity in her, she looked at me with the most peaceful look and said, “ heaven is not a place somewhere in above as we’ve been taught, it is an existence that is right beside of us and is a state of altered peace from which there is only two ways in.” I was only 29 years old and her death was very hard on me. But since then, I’ve experienced things I cannot deny nor explain.

@@felipenape You know, I’m just not sure, my dad had just died on July twenty fifth and she died three months later on October twenty fifth and in that time she changed her mind completely about everything having to do with her personal spirituality. My sister was the same way and she died on December eighth the same year, losing all three of them did the same for me.
