I think traditional way of baking using firewood is slowly going out, because firewood has become scarce, and they were using coconut shell, it has become very costly..

Beautiful story. Thanks that you covered it. I also feel you should cover my story because no media takee interest . Not for fame but I just want our country should know about it. I had forecasted demonitization in 2015 . I have over 500 forecasts which went through reality. Noone read my book where I supplied links to verify dates when I forecasted. If you think demonitization was a small event you can ask me other events but you would not believe it. , Regards

pro tip-dont buy old roasted coffee beans and definitely dont buy stale pre ground coffee.once the coffee is roasted it continues to lose it flavors to the air rapidly and after 15-20 days its stale.so get fresh roasted coffee and ground it yourself as much as you need every day and store the coffee in air tight container.

I understand that this is a documentary about coffee production, but I'm really disappointed that the producers chose not to highlight the hardwork of the labourers that make it possible for the coffee industry to prosper. Hand-picked coffee might be a great buzzword for caffeine addled urbanites, but the pickers are often not compensated adequately and are treated like bonded labour.
@adithyahk20 күн бұрын
😅 what the heck , don't assume stuff! There's a huge labour shortage and you'll find Biharis up Bengalis now working in coffee plantations of Karnataka. They demand wage anywhere from 500/day for 5 hrs of work day to 1200/day to 2500/day depending upon the season and the type of work.

Enough for coffee pickers... We want all money. We don't give it to labors
@aarohamalagi400111 күн бұрын
@@adithyahk I am not assuming anything good sir. I've spoken to several coffee pickers in Kodagu and they've all told me they earn unliveable wages. And as you mention, since local pickers demand fair wages, the estate managers usually hire North Indians who work for half the price.
@adithyahk11 күн бұрын
@aarohamalagi4001 no one works for half the price, I doubt your sources! I own a small plantation in sakleshpura and Kodagu is nothing different or distant! A coffee planter neither have contacts or information to hire random north Indians , coffee planter ends up paying little more than what they normally do when asssamese banglasehis up biharis are hired through multiple middlemen ! Because the work is seasonal and time critical picking coffee cherries should be done within a week to fifteen days of ripening to maintain the quality. Or the birds destroy it buy splitting the cherry to chew the pulp! Minimum daily wage is anything but more than rupees 500/day! and these people are not skilled like the locals to work on a plantation which involves risky job of climbing tall trees to prune them and to pick peppercorn from pepper vines many feet above the ground ! Or pruning coffee plants!
