there is no extinction,there are now 10+ companies that make golisoda in mangalore, in bulk and distribute to shops. in mangalore almost evry shop has golisoda now, since 2020 trend has alrdy started

Wonderful insight into the making of this soda. It's really sad to note the lack of availability of bottles in Karnataka when the government should be promoting eco friendly products like these that actually help combat the national and international plastic menace. Being born in the 80s, I've had the chance to observe the shift from more sustainable pine wood crates to plastic crates used to transport soda bottles and eventually the bottle itself being replaced with plastic. Also, I'm sure that goli soda flavours would be much less harmful than the industrially produced, caffeine loaded and sugar laced drinks produced by large, multinational corporations with only profit on their minds and also, who do not even bother supporting good causes or sports other than cricket.

Wow ! How I crave for GoliSoda. One of my Uncle used to make Goli Soda. On e of my Aunts sold Goli Soda in her kiosk. We grew up with Goli Soda.

@@bernardseanchettiar673 So that is Mangalore Mahanagara Palike. Which means its a infrastructure department of Mangalore. What I do not understand is the date... 1392. I assume it is 1892, and 8 has chipped off... or it is the number given to the plot with no reference to the Year.
