Nice vid mate. I just installed one of these in my troopy. I am a bit miffed that there is not a ‘delay setting’ for 5 seconds or something that prevents the gauge alarming every time you turn the key on, as it doesn’t sense any pressure until the engine is running. Basically means it will alarm every time, which I find a bit annoying. Looks cool though and works well. Nice vid 👍🏽

This footage fills me with so much dread lol. I knew someone who died from asbestosis (and that was from WHITE, not the hundred times deadlier blue) and let's just say it's not a fun way to go out. If we didn't realise just how deadly asbestos was at the time, I shudder to think what we consume now that we aren't fully aware of the dangers of.

These guys are morons. No PPE of any description. They aren't equipped for ANY kind of underground exploring let alone a contaminated space. No respirators/ breathing equipment, no air monitors/gas detectors, no helmets, no proper lighting equipment, no gloves, no coveralls so even after leaving they would have got secondary exposure from dust on their skin, in their clothes, shoes and hair. Add to that the isolation of the site which turns even minor accidents into potential death sentences, compounded by the fact that emergency service personal would be incredibly cautious about approching the site.

And if not monitored, your plant room/workshop then ends up greeting the workers with a fog of sulphuric acid vapour when they come back to work on Monday morning. That was fun, I'm told.

I was *ahem* modifying my Centurion 1kVA, and the battery had been disconnected for a while, and capacitors seemed to be discharged, but got quite the spark when I dropped a screw onto one of the mosfets. Oh bugger, destroyed my Centurion that I acquired cheaply because it fell off the back of a truck! But measured 1.2v still across the mosfet pins, so didn't short it in the process. Completed my *ahem* modification, connected the batteries with another nice spark, turned it back on and... it seems to work.

@@timconnors I’ve found never trust a cap. Even if it has discharge resistors built into the circuit board. Some of the capacitors we had brought new, 450v DC 5000+ uF have sat on the shelf for a while with no shorting wire, they had built up charge to 70v or so. Even found some circuit boards on the scrap bin with charged capacitors. Hope you enjoy my crazy videos 😉, fyi the gas bottle video is pretty tame compared to some I have buried on here…

Did you have to remove the whole power head to do the side cover? If you have water in your cylinder will it be either the head gasket or that side cover or can there be another possible location? Thanks.

SO I'm certain these guys weren't wearing PPE in part 1 at least not suits anyway meaning that the clothing they were wearing was contaminated. So even if they were wearing masks they were wasting their time. The freaky thing is that every time they pass a spider web. The things are full of blue fibres. So I think these guys are in for some bad news in the future.

Not excessively loud if it’s going up the ladder, it’s louder if it’s a brief arc. It’s crazy just knowing the amount of power there!

You are supposed to screw the cap back on so that the hydrogen will compound to create a much stronger boom. Plus you throw it once the cap is on in order to mix it.

This is essentially an exploding bridgewire, although the internal resistance and inductance is too high to see the full shock wave behavior of one (when used as explosives detonators, they are driven by a big capacitor with very low ESR and very short leads)
@sbreheny2 ай бұрын
Regarding battery storage - the state of charge also matters. In other words, a battery which is kept at 24C can have a 5 or more year service life if you charge it periodically to keep it close to 100% state of charge. Higher temperature increases self discharge rate and it also increases the rate at which unintended degradation reactions happen - but some of those are reversible if the battery is recharged.

Search for FLIR CM275. Have had it for about 4 years now. Great clamp meter/ thermal cam. Note: I’m using the lithium battery option to power it.
