Nice vid mate. I just installed one of these in my troopy. I am a bit miffed that there is not a ‘delay setting’ for 5 seconds or something that prevents the gauge alarming every time you turn the key on, as it doesn’t sense any pressure until the engine is running. Basically means it will alarm every time, which I find a bit annoying. Looks cool though and works well. Nice vid 👍🏽

@@mitchsimpson2384 hey mate, I don’t recall getting an alarm when I turn the the ignition on. But will double check this. Definitely an alarm when I turn the engine off though as expected, but I hardly notice that now. Handy bit of kit, it helped identify that the hire trailer brakes were locked on one time. Straight bit of road and the temps started creeping up over the usual so pulled up and smelt fried brakes lol

Great job !! What type of metal is the oil pressure extension that you welded to ?

Thankyou :) The LR oil pressure sensor tube is made from a mild steel and the threaded bung was Stainless Steel (just what happened to be on hand).

How much did 10w40 increase the oil pressure by?

When hot at idle about 3-4psi, not as much as I’d hoped but still an improvement.

What gauge did you use?

It’s a “Redarc Electronics” gauge, pricey but good kit.
