And that is also why Phil Rudd was the superior drummer of AC/DC. Ticca ticca ticca. He swung so much. Chris Slade was an excellent rock drummer but didn’t have the groove of Phil. Boom boom bash.

The older I get the better the Stones sound. And yes, it’s because they swing. A song of theirs came on the radio in the background the other day and without me actively listening to it my subconscious caught the swing and my attention was got! So good! And yes AC/DC swing so much they could have been called the chimpanzees!

Im Aussie, i always loved Phil as the drummer, never looked like he was trying hard or anything, so quiet just sitting at the back unassuming with those gorgeous blue eyes.❤ I watched the live at Donnington Concert with Chris Slade playing drums, and i loved his playing, not that im a drummer, and i really enjoyed his rapport he had with Angus on stage. He was very charismatic and they both just had so much fun together. I wish Phil hadn't fkd up all those years with heavy drugs, he looks shocking now, ancient. 😢

Perfect explanation of Rock and Roll music, that’s why Malcolm was born to create with Angus in the words bests band and this is also why every album cd download you feel as if you are at one their magnificent gig’s There would be no AC/DC without the fabulous Young Brothers together with the meeting with Bon history was born I just wished AC/DC received the acclaim they so rightly deserve, they’ve influenced so many bands they try to imitate but sorry nope cannot be done, every band needs A Malcolm, An Angus, A Bon, A Phil A Cliff and A Brian Thank you Malcolm for sacking all those managers who wanted to change your magnificent Rock and Roll Bands style Long Live AC/DC R.I.P Malcolm Young 🕯️⭐️🎸🎵❤️ R.I.P Bon Scott 🕯️ ⭐️🎤🎵❤️ Both taken far too soon rest easy in Beautiful Heaven gentlemen xxxx xxxx

Phil Rudd never needs to defend his drumming as far as I'm concerned. Drummers can play all the technical stuff they want but it takes real discipline to sit in the pocket and hold down a groove for 2 hours. For that there's nobody better than Phil Rudd.

Can someone please tell me if Malcolm has an Aussie accent? Cause I have not enough experience to understand that. It sounds to me more like a British accent
@tylersweet59946 ай бұрын
It's an Aussie accent. Just not a particularly strong one possibly due to him spending the first 10 years of his life in Scotland.

on the one hand, its great that acdc carried on after bons death, but on the other hand, its terrible they had to do it with such an inferior singer. brian johnson is great, but, being realistic, he is not even in the same universe as bon scott in terms of vocals/singing. brian johnson always sounds like he is straining to do the vocals. he is not a natural singer. bon scotts singing was much more natural and easy.

I love AC/DC, and he's right to identify swing as the most clear stylistic distinction between what was originally called "Rock 'n' Roll" and what later came to be called "rock music", but if there's one thing I DON'T associate with AC/DC, it's swing. Seriously, which famous AC/DC songs swing? Their whole thing is straight ahead 4/4 rock. That's what people love about it.
