And also from other tribes, like in the case of Juwairiyyah radiyallahu anha from Banu Mustaliq. So, we find both examples. And from my personal life, cousin marriage isn't widely practiced in the area I was born, and as we kinda grew up with our cousins, (I didn't have proper Islamic upbringing, but Alhamdulillah I am practicing now), I don't feel as much attraction towards my cousins, (the attraction exists, but just not as intense ), I'd say I rather find other races for example east Asians, more attractive etc. Yes, but realistically I just want to know, did the mufassireen of the salaf or the classical scholars have the same view, if yes, then that's it.

But rather to understand the hikmah, Rasulullah didn't ask Bilal to marry another Abyssinian woman, he married of his noble daughters to noble Sahaba due to the fact may be they were some of the best men to walk on the face of earth, for example, Uthman rta was not from Banu Hashim, still he married two of his daughters to him, he was preferred due to his noble status even angels feel shy from him, Ali rta also was one of the best men . An-Nawawi said in Al-Manhaj: “It is recommended to choose a religiously committed virgin who is of good lineage but is not a close relative.” (End quote)

@ Uthman r.a was from Banu Umayyad which is a branch of Quraish. Quraish is the tribe and Banu Umayyah is a branch of it. So is Banu Hashim, Banu Adi(Hafsa r.a), Banu Teem(Ayesha r.a) and so forth. Al Nawwawi's opinion, when it goes against clear sunnah, although a respected scholar of the Ummah, is invalid. Such is the manhaj of Salaf. Hadith before Athaar. or opinion. that's why they're called Ahlul-Hadith and not Ahlul-Rai (people of opinion) this concept to prefer Marrying within the tribe. seems foreign to muslims because of the last 200 years of post modernism. because it advocates for abolishing of nasab while Nasab is an immutable thing, Allah has said in the Quran, we made you into shu'oob and tribes so you may be introduced. if you do not find someone on Deen and attractive from your own ethnicity or tribe, then its okay its not haram to marry outside the ethnicity. however the sunnah shows us marrying into ethnicity is preferable. again, not haram to Marry outside the ethnicity.
