Having Patience In Islam
A Woman Who Had Epilepsy Came To The Prophet
She Had Epilepsy
Asked whether he would like that, he should show him a woman who is from the people of jannah When he replied that he certainly would, he said, this black woman who came to the Prophet Mohammed and said, I suffer from epilepsy and during my fits my body is exposed so make supplication to Allah for me.
He replied, If you wish, you endure it patiently and you'll be rewarded with jannah. And if you wish, I shall make supplication to allow to cure you. She said. I shall endure it. Then she added, But my body is exposed. So pray to Allah, and that it may not happen.
He, the Prophet Muhammad supplicated for her. My dear Muslim brothers and sisters, we ask Allah to protect us from afflictions like this. If you suffer from an affliction like this, this hadith is for you. If you endure patiently, if you have epilepsy and you endure it patiently, you will get jannah, you will get jannah
RasulAllah has said in the Hadith, I'm paraphrasing it, if you bear it patiently, you will get jannah. It is a good news. It is a bushra for you, for you. Now you will get jannah if you bear it patiently. And this Hadith shows us that when Allah, he afflicts people with an affliction.
He certainly gives them the reward for it. So you may be afflicted with something with your body like this woman was. You may be afflicted with something in your family. You may be afflicted with something in your in the place you were born for example. Many people, they are born in places they wish. They were born in better places.
And living conditions in those places are not as good. They're very crowded. There's too much noise. The mindset of people in those places is not very positive. These are the afflictions Allah gives you. And sometimes I think that people who are born in places like let's say Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and other places like this, it is an affliction to be born in a place like this.
And people who are born in countries where there's good environment, for example, in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, other Gulf countries, let's put Egypt along with the places that are not very good to be born in. And let's look at the Northern Europe. Very good, nice places. Although living there is an affliction because sometimes the day is too long and sometimes the night is too long.
But it is an affliction, of course. Let's put the entire South America in the places where people are born. They're afflicted. If they're born, there. And let's put a lot of African countries there as well. So this is my thought. This is what I think. I think if you are born in a country where the situation is not very good, inshallah, Allah will reward you for the affliction you went through.
And we ask a lot to help us move to a place where there's a good environment because you must always be looking to get better in every aspect of our lives, including including wealth. Because it is not haram to get wealth in Islam. It is actually praiseworthy thing to have wealth and to spend it in the right manner because in hadith we know that RasulAllahﷺ
said, How good is lawful wealth in the hands of a righteous man So it is not haram to be rich and and to get wealthy. You need a career. You need to do something and today every business has to go through the Internet. So you must learn the basics of the Internet to help you do that.
