This is so cool! I grew up in Rarotonga in Vaimaanga and so did my father - he went spearfishing in Avaavaroa Passage from the tender age of 10 years old (in the early '60s). We were never allowed to swim here because it was so dangerous, according to Dad. Anyway, thank you for this video! I miss Rarotonga (living in NZ now) and hope to visit in the next year or so 😊

It’s essential to go with a tour for the first time, a few friends lately have gone with ‘Go Local’ recently and said they’ve had a good time. I’ve gone on incoming tide, there are very strong currents so I definitely would not take children.
