Now I understand from where the Benny Hill show could have originated. This must be someting particular to the IK culture.

I'm watching this with tears in my eyes, 1) it's extremely funny, 2) my father was on the development team of the Tornado and many other RAF planes of the, 50s, 60s and 70s.

My Grandad was a Sergeant Major in the second world war. He survived too have a long life 98 when he passed. Had a wonderful family which I'm a part of. He would never talk about the war, to painful i think. The only thing he told me about his time was that they use to race the camels and spending time with the wonderful white stallions , in North Africa. Anyway God rest Grandad you are missed 🏴🇬🇧

My dad had one of those suitcases. It was made of something like cardboard with leather corner patches to stop it getting damaged. Got a feeling it was his demob suitcase.

What an absolute Star WD was. Full of Welsh character. I fondly remember watching these training vids on my annual GDT ( Ground Defence Training) courses which included the range and the CS chamber. I especially love the 80's sound track to them. That synthesiser sound that they all had just brings me right back to being an 'Erk.

Those who served in the 1980s and 1990s likely rememebr the "Nobby" training films "Nobby forgot his yellow ear defenders.... now, Nobby is deaf"

Pretty sure every one of my training Sergeants used to practice Windsor Davies in front of their mirrors, but turning it out on us. Mannerisms, twitches and the lines. They had him down to a T.
