Jeez! Excellent commentary. These things that you bring up regarding how men and particularly women are categorized. This opens so many possibilities. Hitchcock himself was not good to women in some of his movies; Tippy Headrin.

I’m glad that someone can see this connection! I felt that I might be reading into it a bit at first but as I started taking more notes it seemed like the female and male characters were not shown in the same light. I have heard a lot about poor treatment on set regarding Hitchcock films and think that maybe this is something I’ll have to do a commentary on in the future. It’s truly upsetting but should definitely be discussed. Thanks for watching!

Nice commentary, though the rating system came out in 1968. This would have been rated for a re-release, or video release.

Also are you aware that The Maltese Falcon was made twice before under the titles of DANGEROUS FEMALE AND SATAN MET A LADY. Just want to let you know, also this was SYDNEY GREENSTREETS Acting debut. He was a classical trained SHAKESPEARE Actor.

Nice video. I love The Outsiders and glad to see some people starting to talk about it on KZbin! I first read it in 6th grade and my mom was so excited when I brought it home because it was one of her favorites growing up as well (she was 13 when the movie came out). Did you hear they're going to be re-releasing the film in a special edition with deleted scenes added back in?

I get what you mean about ppl watching the trailer to know if they can handle the violence or not, but the trailer also totally spoils to the twist. You'll know if you can handle the violence but enjoy it less once you're watching the movie imo. Great movie, though, agreed. This was a gem and Da-mi killed it. Can't wait for part 2.
