Jeez! Excellent commentary. These things that you bring up regarding how men and particularly women are categorized. This opens so many possibilities. Hitchcock himself was not good to women in some of his movies; Tippy Headrin.

I’m glad that someone can see this connection! I felt that I might be reading into it a bit at first but as I started taking more notes it seemed like the female and male characters were not shown in the same light. I have heard a lot about poor treatment on set regarding Hitchcock films and think that maybe this is something I’ll have to do a commentary on in the future. It’s truly upsetting but should definitely be discussed. Thanks for watching!

Nice commentary, though the rating system came out in 1968. This would have been rated for a re-release, or video release.
