Because the Porsche 993 GT2 is often mentioned in context with the remarkable RWB conversions, including in the comments on this video, I would like to briefly write something about this comparison. Just coming up with the idea that Porsche, or more precisely the project manager Roland Kussmaul, would have allowed to install the extensions on the 993 GT2 in a similar way to how the widely admired Akira Nakai so casually mounted his RWB body kits shows that you have little imagination of Porsche's quality standards and even less knowledge about professional body construction. The body cuts on the 993 GT2 bodyshells were not made freehand, but of course using templates. And of course this happened BEFORE the bodies were painted. And because Porsche has never used a screw that was simply screwed into a sheet metal part, there are of course nuts in the 993 GT2 body into which the screws of the plastic extensions engage. And of course, every Porsche aerodynamic part, not just on the 993 GT2, is designed in such a way that it is held in place by its screw connection and does not have to be glued in place with Sikaflex 221. One should also not forget that in contrast to the imaginative RWB fiberglass parts, every aerodynamic aid that is installed at Porsche has already seen the inside of a wind tunnel for a longer period of time. That might also be the reason why I don't know of any racing team or racing series that uses RWB parts. In this context, racing series means circuit races and not a Japanese drift challenge. Although it may not sound like that in my post. I am one of the biggest fans of RWB conversions ever. After all, the standard 911s that are fortunately in my garage become even rarer and therefore more valuable with each creation by Nakai San. Finally, I would like to take the opportunity to ask the RWB fan community a question. What the hell is that supposed to mean: Rau Welt Begriff? At least in German, the three words in this sequence don't make the slightest sense. Maybe the likeable artist Akria Nakai was just looking for a name that fits his artwork perfectly. Drive carefully :-)
