My hat's off to Akira for building a brand out of what is basically hacking at a 911, then screwing on some fiberglass fender flares and adding some bathroom sealant, then sitting in a chair to make it look like he's an artist contemplating his 'process' lol. The guy's a genius! 😆😆😆

I have a 997 turbo and even though I wouldn't modify it in this way, I truly admire Nakai San's incredible artistic flair and his skilled craftsmanship in creating works of art. Yes, they look much bolder than stock, but that's the beauty in his creations.

You’re 1000% right! People who hate claim his work is “so easy” but yet there’s only one Nakai. If it’s so easily replicated they’d be 10 more out there and at his scale of success GLOBALLY. We’re very fortunate to witness someone like Nakai in our generation of car culture. They’ll never be another like him due to the advancement of technology with everything being done on the computer like 3D scans, CAD, etc. Remember he’s been doing this for 30 years before these technological advancements in the automotive space even existed. This Freeform/freehand method will be a lost art.

@@stephen300o6 People buy into him being an artist, but you're right. It's just a fiberglass kit screwed onto a 911 with butchered arches. Anyone could fit it - including the bathroom sealant where it's joined to the body. I can't believe so many people have been taken in by him for so many years.

If you look under those Bodyparts after a few weeks you will find a lot of rust. There is no rust prevention at all. His work only looks good from the outside. Poor Porsche 😢

He applied stone chip paint to my exposed edges. He doesnt leave the edges bare. I went through the entire process and watched every single detail, many of which never get recorded due to access.

@@ayowheredeeway He hacks the rear quarter panels and front arches, then screws fender flares to them. Everything he does detracts from what a 911 should represent. I love modified cars but this guy's just making 911s look like cartoons. And it's trying to make it look like he's an artist. Any body shop could fit those kits, and they'd probably do a neater job and add some rust protection while they're at it....

Subjective. I personally dislike the stock porche look. But I’m a huge fan of fender flares on porches. Idk, it just looks right. I’m not a fan of his wings or Canards on some of the RWBs though. Still he does a better job than I would with my grinder 😂. When I get a 911 I’ll probably hack it up
