Yup, haven’t had any issues yet. Got them in April and they still charge and discharge nicely. They are budget cells, so they probably won’t last quite as long as something from GensAce, but they’re good for the money.

Thanks for the advice about the fan on the ESC!
@CarstenKoppenhagenАй бұрын
Hello, very nice video!! Is the temperature reached by the fan or can the battery be drained without letting the motor cool down? I'm thinking about buying the infraction 3s, but I've also read a lot of negative things. I'm looking forward to an assessment of the vehicle. Thanks!
@FalconfireRCАй бұрын
The motor stays well within the safe zone for temperature. With the Tekin fan I installed in this video, the ESC also stays within the safe zone. You should be able to discharge a full pack without needing to stop to let the electronics cool down. Of course, that depends on many different factors, such as driving style, the surface you’re driving on, and the outdoor temperature.
@keldonatorАй бұрын
Too bad they don't make a motor for that esc that is 4s capable
@FalconfireRCАй бұрын
They do. None of the motors in the combo can, but it can run their 4268 (1/8 scale) motors so long as they are 2600kv or less. You can also get a motor from an Arrma Outcast/Kraton 4S or the Traxxas 540XL. Both those motors are 4S-capable, long-can 2400kv motors that should be within the ESC’s capabilities

Is there any way to stop that really annoying whining sound? I'm thinking about getting one of these , but that's definitely a deal breaker.
@FalconfireRCАй бұрын
If you’re talking about the motor whining, then there’s not any way to stop it. That’s what electric motors do when there’s not much throttle applied.

How to connect drone to controller

It should automatically connect. The instructions say to turn the drone on first, so if you’re turning the controller on first, that could be your problem.

I like the setup. I was thinkimg of getting the same esc/motor combo.
@FalconfireRC2 ай бұрын
You definitely should. It’s an awesome system for the price, although if you don’t want to replace the stock pinion, make sure the motor you get is one of the 3655 motors instead of the 3660. The 3655 has the same size shaft as the Velineon 3500 but the 3660 has a 5mm shaft (2mm wider than stock)
@TheDOOKIEonYOUАй бұрын

I can’t start it can’t fly it I need some help
@FalconfireRC2 ай бұрын
Here’s the process to get it in the air: 1. After removing it from the case and extending the arms, you have to press and hold the power button until all the lights on the battery turn on. It will beep after you remove your finger from the power button. 2. Turn on the controller. 3. Connect your phone to the drone’s WiFi and open the app. In the upper left corner, it should tell you the status. It might want you to calibrate the gyro or compass, or might need to find a GPS connection. There are instructions for how to calibrate it in the manual. (If you don’t have the app, check if the lights are blinking. If they are, run through the calibrations. The blinking means it isn’t ready to fly). 4. When it says “ready to fly” or the lights go solid, pull the triggers down and inwards. That will start the propellers. Then, all you have to do is push the left trigger up to lift off. If it still doesn’t work, reply to this comment again and I’ll try to help you through it.

Adjustable dbl sided is the best ramp I’ve messed with plus jumping both ways . 2 door hinges , some metal strapping with the holes and 4 screws gets it done . Folds right up for moving around 👍. These kinds of ramps are permanent fixtures and a pain to move around but for a permanent ramp 100 % great for a track
@FalconfireRC2 ай бұрын
They’re not permanent. We actually built this one to be portable. I have a larger one that’s very big but is equipped with wheels and was built to fit in the back of my car for easy transportation. The ramp in the video was designed to fit inside the larger one so that we can transport them both easily

Dude I have several of these batteries and don't have an issue. Whatever you are doing is causing this
@FalconfireRC3 ай бұрын
I’ve done nothing but treat this battery well since I got it. Trust me, it’s not something I did. I had another one (the same model) which was practically brand new (less than a month old) when it started to do it. It’s not me, it’s the flawed design.
@QcOncleGab3 ай бұрын
@@FalconfireRC the messed up wraping on the battery tells me you didn't treated this battery well.
@FalconfireRC3 ай бұрын
The wrapping is perfectly fine. The “damage” you see there is the very outer covering, which got scraped up by rocks being thrown into the chassis and getting stuck underneath it. It’s nothing more than surface scuffing. This battery has never been ejected from the car, has never come dislodged from the battery tray, has always been secured tightly when in the truck, and has been storage charged when sitting for more than a few days. I did not mistreat the battery. I would not be claiming it was a problem with the battery if I had done anything that could cause this sort of problem.
@Rymesis3 ай бұрын
@@FalconfireRC There's a lot more there than "Some light scuffing". You've also split the heatshrink on the connector end in addition to that. If you smash up the battery on the end that the tabs are, yeah it's going to stop connecting. And this is suppose to be the one that Traxxas has already replaced? That aside, why wouldn't you flip the truck over and dump the sea of gravel out of your battery tray?
@FalconfireRC3 ай бұрын
First of all, there is no heat shrink on the connector. Not sure what you’re talking about there. Second, the front of the battery is not smashed up. I’ve always run it with foam blocks guarding it on all sides to prevent that sort of thing from happening. Third, we have Traxxas 2S batteries that have had their front ends smashed in and they work perfectly fine, so if that’s the problem, why don’t they stop charging??? Fourth, I do get rid of the small rocks-after the battery is dead, although I fail to see what that has to do with the battery’s ability to charge.

Having problems getting the propellers to turn
@FalconfireRC3 ай бұрын
Move the joysticks down and inwards. That should start the propellers. If it doesn’t, connect it to the app and it should tell you what the status is, and why it won’t take off. Sometimes it requires you to calibrate the compass & gyro, or connect to satellites before it’ll take off.

should i buy a bigfoot or a 2wd brushed stampede?
@FalconfireRC7 ай бұрын
The only differences are the body and the tires. The body on the Bigfoot is licensed and also weaker because of its boxy design (it tends to crack around the cab and corners of the front and back). It is also double the cost of the Stampede’s body to replace ($80 vs $40). In my opinion, the Talon tires of the ordinary Stampede are better than the Bigfoot’s, at least on grass and loose surfaces because they hook up better and have foam inserts. Unless you really like the body design of the Bigfoot, I would get the Stampede. Hope this helps
