There is a way that you can group with toons on another server. Copy the toons down to the test server and play them there.

It's funny how little people who don't use macroquest know about macroquest. People should play responsibly. If they don't and get themselves banned then so be it. I've been a user of Macroquest for many years and have never received a suspension or a ban. One of the things people should understand is that Macroquest itself isn't allowing any of the things mentioned in this video. Other people create plugins or elaborate scripts which coupled with the plugins from external creators allow that sort of behavoir. Redguides itself doesn't support the use of, nor create hacks that allow Teleporting, instant zoning or other things of the like, however there are other groups that both create that sort of content, and promote the use of it in some shape fashion or form. The caretaker of MQ2 has specifically designed it to crash the game if you use it to access a Truebox server in an AGREEMENT with daybreak....yup, they communicate. As a programmer for Redguides I can honestly say that having reviewed a vast majority of the code, 95% of it is access to information, or utility and automation of characters isn't a primary focus. But the people want what the people want and sometimes replacing those gimp ass mercs with toons that act like mercs only smarter is the way to go. Because let us be honest, the game is 20 years old and not exactly over populated. The server count has been dwindling and my time, as well as others time, is precious. I can't spend 3 hours looking for a group when I can just make one, and daybreak doesn't care because then I'm paying for 6 accounts instead of 1. It's what's keeping this game in business, so unless you're disrupting the community then it's unlikely you'll ever encounter a GM, much less get a talking too, a suspension, or a ban while using core MQ2 or Redguides. /necropost

A Apprentice 5 is better than a journeyman 1through 4 I have tested them all... J1-3 run off if you pull to many mobs... But so do the apprentice 1-3... As far as race the best healers mercs are Drakins and the best dps casters are Gnomes... I haven't tried the special race mercs... I stick to what I know works best for me...

Daybreak deleted my enchanter account and my others and left me 2 so when I get back in game on the 11th (waiting for my stuff to arrive through ups) I can make a new battle chanter. Great video I know it's old but I just started playing an enchanter and boxing it with my main account that I play a berserker, ranger, and a warrior, but I haven't given too much attention because my berserker is 105 and my enchanter is 85 heroic so I haven't been able to really focus and learn him that well. My ranger is a higher level as well and my warrior is 5 levels lower than the enchanter

Awesome video Dandin I created a heroic enc just recently so this will help me out a lot...i've had a couple other enc but never got them past lvl 55 so I never got to really understand the AA's too well...

Is there a way to use ruins on a hybrid tank on harder mobs and achieve the same effect. Essentially have the hybrid remain invulnerable for the duration of the fight.

I didn't watch the whole video and mostly skipped around it (since it seems like all you're doing is complaining) but I'll answer your one question at 6:30 about "Why would you do this, one content creator to another" - It's because i don't let me personal opinion get in the way of telling people how they should or shouldn't do things. As someone who writes guides the most important thing for me to uphold is factual truth. MQ2 isn't 'ruining' the game or even getting people banned from games - in fact I have a written response from Daybreak saying "yea, we don't care we're not the cops" because after writing the page you're talking about I literally asked Daybreak what they thought... Y'kno incase the fact that they pretty much already said they allowed MQ2 wasn't good enough in the true box announcement which I linked to. If you think MQ2 is bad (for the game or players) that's a PERSONAL OPINION. Your personal opinion is IRRELEVANT when discussing matters of factual importance. If MQ2 or Isboxer helps people enjoy the game (and it does) that is the only thing that actually matters. There is no "this is the right way to play and this isn't" black and white arbitrary line that you seem to think there is. Some people will only enjoy EQ while using third party software. If that's not you... That's ok! But what isn't ok is for you to try and push your purified way of playing onto others who don't want to play that way. The world of Norrath is big enough for both of us.

You mentioned neck focus as important. I thought the block/parry focus was only helpful for classes that had block/parry (melee/hybrid). Returning after a while out so I could certainly be missing something though. Can you confirm neck focus is important?

I have a question about enchanter and character progression. I used to main a chanter back in the days but what got me burned was the lack of progression feeling via items. With the new heroic stats (yellow ones), is gearing your enchanter mean something pass the typical focus items ? Is there any difference betwen a good geared chanter and bad geared one beside betther nuke and more HP/AC ?

Dandin, I've been a vet player since 2002 on EQ, one thing I would like to mention with a sub (monthly, 3, 6 or yearly), with Bayle Marks from the Marketplace (you get 500 DBC (what used to be SC (station cash) monthly). Buy those instead of using plat for your merc if you wish to do so, it would save a ton on farming and it doesn't take much up on DBC so you can buy I think 20 at a time and up to 500 I think in the Marketplace. I'm a casual player on EQ on the AB server, but I found that to be way better than when your merc levels up and the more it does the more plat it takes every 15 min. With Bayle Marks it only consumes 1 per 15 min. and you can adjust your settings to use those instead of plat, I just saw this video and I hope that information was helpful. Regarding the armor, I have had an issue for 3 years, (on my channel) for a breastplate that came with an expansion, you can update those when you put them in your own inventory and place them back on the merc, mine should have end. Now, I do notice a difference when in combat, my merc won't be standing there just doing nothing when it's full, but if it dies it does not allow for full end and goes back down to zero when I can revive it, only a bard in the GL can play a song for replenishment and I have to sit and wait for that to rise. I have been ticket after ticket with GM's, they were supposed to talk to the Dev's on my behalf, none of that was done, but one last plea, please watch my video on what I have on mine. It should not do this with any armor breastplate. I am using a human healer merc which I obtained from The Feerrott, I actually have 2 really in case a bard cannot be found if one loses end and I have no idea how to bring it back. It happened after an update of some kind roughly 3 years ago, no GM can fix this. I'm at a loss for this solution. But I appreciate this video because I didn't know exactly how to go about getting other armor for my merc. I'm lvl 91, ranger on the AB server. But my channel I did a video about that, and a bit of a rant because I'm quite frustrated. But thank you for the in depth look on other classes for mercs, I don't have any alts and it's hard enough to keep updates of buffs for 1 toon sans any boxing.. lol. Anyway, much appreciated.

fairly recent update, they retooled chanter dots, so could swap out Anodyne for Mindstorm...does a ton of damage now and brings back mana at a ridiculous rate.
