Dandin, I've been a vet player since 2002 on EQ, one thing I would like to mention with a sub (monthly, 3, 6 or yearly), with Bayle Marks from the Marketplace (you get 500 DBC (what used to be SC (station cash) monthly). Buy those instead of using plat for your merc if you wish to do so, it would save a ton on farming and it doesn't take much up on DBC so you can buy I think 20 at a time and up to 500 I think in the Marketplace. I'm a casual player on EQ on the AB server, but I found that to be way better than when your merc levels up and the more it does the more plat it takes every 15 min. With Bayle Marks it only consumes 1 per 15 min. and you can adjust your settings to use those instead of plat, I just saw this video and I hope that information was helpful. Regarding the armor, I have had an issue for 3 years, (on my channel) for a breastplate that came with an expansion, you can update those when you put them in your own inventory and place them back on the merc, mine should have end. Now, I do notice a difference when in combat, my merc won't be standing there just doing nothing when it's full, but if it dies it does not allow for full end and goes back down to zero when I can revive it, only a bard in the GL can play a song for replenishment and I have to sit and wait for that to rise. I have been ticket after ticket with GM's, they were supposed to talk to the Dev's on my behalf, none of that was done, but one last plea, please watch my video on what I have on mine. It should not do this with any armor breastplate. I am using a human healer merc which I obtained from The Feerrott, I actually have 2 really in case a bard cannot be found if one loses end and I have no idea how to bring it back. It happened after an update of some kind roughly 3 years ago, no GM can fix this. I'm at a loss for this solution. But I appreciate this video because I didn't know exactly how to go about getting other armor for my merc. I'm lvl 91, ranger on the AB server. But my channel I did a video about that, and a bit of a rant because I'm quite frustrated. But thank you for the in depth look on other classes for mercs, I don't have any alts and it's hard enough to keep updates of buffs for 1 toon sans any boxing.. lol. Anyway, much appreciated.

A Apprentice 5 is better than a journeyman 1through 4 I have tested them all... J1-3 run off if you pull to many mobs... But so do the apprentice 1-3... As far as race the best healers mercs are Drakins and the best dps casters are Gnomes... I haven't tried the special race mercs... I stick to what I know works best for me...

Hey Dandin, great videos learned much from them for sure! I have a question. I set my merc to passive and they still charge was wondering what i am doing wrong lol

honestly if you are going to set to passive and do something afk or fug with your toon's inv / /spells or whatever just suspend the merc. it's a 5 min cooldown and most things take longer then that so when you're ready to need him he'll be ready as well.

Paladin need no healer merc better too use wizard merc and what do i use as Necro it is my main and before there where only tank and healer merc and i have since a tier 5 dark elf healer Merc but i not know if i should use the dps Mercs because i use the healer Merc not often because most can i do solo and in groups i play with people, what would u select as Necro?
