Hey man loved the video, been torn between the 28mm and 40mm, curious your thoughts and why you ended up going with the 28? Do you feel like you're limited at times with such a wide focal length? Also do you ever find yourself cropping in on photos and how is the image quality if you do so? I think I'm in a similar position where I'd like a pocketable camera to document daily life/travel with my friends, and an interchangeable camera isn't always the best option as you mentioned
@HDBnB123 күн бұрын
So there was a time where I felt 28 was too wide and I wanted more of a portrait look where the X would be great. However more often then not I wanted to capture the scene of environment as well as being able to fit my friends in frame without having to backup too much. So 28mm is great for everyday photos for capturing the environment of where I’m at as well as big group shots of me and friends. The image is 22 or higher megapixels so you can always crop if you want but I’ve been happy with 28 as long as composition is good

Have you tried the Alex Munoz method of carrying it? He has an attachment point that threads into the tripod mount, that his wrist strap attaches to. It looks really weird but it keeps the entire grip side, free of cords & doesn’t feel as tangled or restrictive. It’s like there’s no strap at all but you have it on your wrist, just in case you drop it. He just dropped a new “Can in Street” video, check it out if you want to see what I mean.

I remember telling my brother in law about the fuji x100v. reggie b is first person i really saw use that camera for a portrait shoot. at the time i was like oh cool camera. YEA ITS COOL, but i did blindly use it for like the first time ever on a photo shoot for my cousin. like zero knowledge of how the camera work, just a literal 20 minute breakdown of how to use it. 1 thing i definitely hated was the auto focus, after owning the ricoh for a bit now. i can say the fuji x100v definitely need feel super great in that department. if anything it pissed me off lol. NOW i say the ricoh just looks freaking insane when you pull the up the photos. The details and so crisp when the focus locks in, obvi the af isn’t perfect on the ricoh but when it does 💪

But so many times before I'll see a great shot and not have my camera with me. Now, I carry my Street Edition on me almost all the time and is always ready when an unexpected opportunity presents itself. Yes, the Fuji packs way for features but the fact that I can fit the Ricoh in my jean pockets and walk around comfortably puts it above all others.

@ a viewfinder? Maybe electronic viewfinders (EVFs) or optional accessories. Leica, arguably the finest pocket street camera. They don’t typical have EVF or a flip out screen. Sounds more like you desire pro-consumer camera perhaps.
@HDBnB126 күн бұрын
I mean yea I have the a7iv and love the viewfinder for photos. My fx3 and video cameras don’t have viewfinders which I don’t mind. I think I saw a Sony rx that had a pop out viewfinder and flash that would be cool to see on a Ricoh 4
@garfieldmtify26 күн бұрын
@ A7IV & FX3 both are very fines pieces of gear covering stills/video mate. The RX100 series are all zoom lens I suppose the RX1R II is straight serious and has a pop up flash (funny thing though professionals don’t chat or reference the RX1R II too much 🤔). My cousin and I were speaking today he uses a Leica Q3, his work is currently the main attraction right now in a big gallery. No flash on his camera or professional’s using pocket street camera with flash as far as I am aware. This is one of the reasons I say having a flash is a big ask:) …all good though, good to push the limits. Right? Do you have a hands down fav lens? I like talking camera, lens and gear I guess 😂
@ElmoChan4326 күн бұрын
Ricoh might even have the GR4 already made. But why would they release it? They still can't even keep the GR3 on the shelf. It would be a waste for them to release it. They'll introduce it the moment the GR3 momentum starts to die out or they hear a competitor is about to release something that might rival the GR3.

@@HDBnB1 good and bad. Good news - i have very sharp vision, somewhere between 20/10-20/15, BUT not when my eyes are dry. It's winter in Poland and the heating is drying air in my flat so bad, though humidifiers help a little. Night vision is also clear and sharp, thanks to the 7.2mm optical zone. Bad news - left eye has some ghosting/double vision with highest contrast stuff, neon banners, white text on black background on the computer screen, dark themes. You would think that this wasn't going to be an issue considering the Mi shoe has a log of mics that need the same clearance to connect. I like the Ulanzi folding half cage because I don't always want a cage on my cameras and it has the clearance for ECM-M1 shotgun microphone and the DJI mic adapter.
@HDBnB129 күн бұрын
Yeah, folding cages are interesting! I do like the fact that this makes the grip a little bit bigger and I usually shoot a lot of horizontal content with a top handle and I like it on the right side of the camera versus the left side

I have a question for you. I have my listings in the UK so Airbnb and other channels automatically switch to simplified pricing when one uses a channel manager. You've explained in your videos that you can integrate calendars of different channels without a channel manager ( using the icals). If I use a channel manager just to create a website and to get on to Google vacation homes, I then integrate my other channel calendar icals ( without integrateing it into the channel manager) can I then take the ical of the website and share it with the other channels without directly involving the channel manager and effectively avoiding simplified pricing

I eat two meals a day and think it's great. FYI I do hate the microwave but I still love factor meals. 10 minutes in the oven is nothing compared to the time it would take me to procure, prep, cook, and clean up the same meals. Also I use them for lunch at work and I heat them up using an Amazon lunch box that plugs in to the wall or my car so I can heat on the go. It's more like a toaster oven than a microwave. And it still only takes 10 minutes to heat up. I'm a single construction worker and I would say that this system is perfect for me 10/10 across the board. I used to skip meals or eat poorly because I didn't have time with my demanding work schedule. And it actually costs more to do that. A fast food meal comes in as more expensive than factor and there's no comparison in overall quality. It also costs more to buy all the ingredients for such a variety of meals because I'm alone and end up having to throw out half of what I buy before I use it. I was a sous-chef in a bustling city center at a high end restaurant back in my days and I love to cook. I just don't have the time. Anyways great review thank you and my two cents is that I definitely recommend and it's perfect for someone like me.

Been my "go to" since Dec 2023. Less effort with more power.Chronic elbow issues from 30+ yrs. of twisting wrenches. small sweet spot. Changing swing mechanics for this paddle, takes time to get used to. Always use the "BANDIT" and ice after. P.S. your dog is very wise.
@peteherrera15022 ай бұрын
I have lead tape on my pro power and I get tennis elbows all the time playing with this paddle because I like to hit the ball hard which causes your elbow to absorb a lot of the shock. The reason for the shock is because one of the characteristic of carbon fiber itself is it stiffens when you hit the ball hard and softens on easier hit and of course with foam injected into this paddle; striking the ball is even more stiff and that force is transfered to your elbow. Hence Tendinitis. Also Your arm band that you are wearing to help from getting tennis elbow is to low. you need to raise it up higher on your arm closer to where your elbow bends which is where your tendon is at that takes the shock. And it needs to be tight so that it can keep the tendon from expanding so much. I wear a tennis elbow band and I still get Tendinitis. Also The control of this paddle comes from the user and/or the user adding lead tape to help control the paddle. Also the more relaxed you are during the point when striking the ball the more control you have.

⚠ Peerspace Fees Are No Joke! For me as a host it feels more like a scam than a real business. As soon as you pay for an event, Peerspace starts scamming you by pushing their overpriced insurance. They’ll pressure you, saying if you don’t buy their insurance immediately, they’ll cancel your event. For events they take 20% from the host and 20% from the client, and then charge $260 for insurance (100 people) from the client and another $260 from the host, totaling $520🤯. I politely explained that after all expenses from a $2000 event, I was only making $40, and I preferred to use a big insurance company I’ve used before, which costs $120 and covers both me and the client. Peerspace ignored my request and deleted my venue instead. Hosts, be careful-this platform is more focused on taking your money than providing real value. Skip the middleman, use Google Maps, and you’ll find great spots that aren’t even on Peerspace. You’ll save a ton of money!
