I've been watching your videos all day, they are amazing! One of the best photography channels I have ever found on yt! Your imagination, creativity and knowledge are at an all time high! New subscriber here! Can I ask you what tripod you use? I saw you also use it for the RB67, the head is very special, the Slik AF2100 tripod head, I had never heard of it! How do you find it? And what do you use underneath the tripod? I would be very interested in that because I am also looking for a good tripod for RZ67 and 35mm. It would be a great help to me if you answered. Thank you in advance

They look underexposed. Next time use lower shutter speeds or open up your fstop by 1 to 2 stops.

Great work Ejatu, as usual. very interesting content and photo subjects. is it hard to get the picture sharp? and what do usually use to focus the lense? when doing selfportrait? I know sometimes one can get a blurry selfportrait, but that can be used as a aesthetic resource. I've always been afraid of selfportrait (beside of cellphone selfies). I need to try and practice it more. Thanks for sharing your knowlodge. Greetings and love from Chile

Thank you! It can be especially when I don't step perfectly in place of the stand-in object, but as you said I'm also happy to embrace the blur aha. Yes do go for it, it's the perfect opportunity for mistakes and trying new things!

I think I saw 10 videos of you today and all of them were wonderful, relaxed, inspiration for my eyes and also not unimportant for me, because English is a foreign language for me, you speak a very "nice" English, if you can say so. The speech melody reminds me of the videos of ian hippolyte. you talk totally the same way... best regards BM.. :-)

I shoot almost exclusively on film. By not getting to see the image on the screen, I can avoid getting too perfectionistic with it. Also digital is extremely frustrating to me because of all the menus and stuff. It just bogs me down so much. Even the menus on my later nikon film camera (F70 I believe) are always in the way. I'm sure there are digital cameras that solve this issue but nah, I just want an aperture ring and a shutter speed dial. I'm really lucky that I bought my Nikon FM2 on a whim at this flea market in France. I didn't appreciate it enough when I got it but now it's my most trusted companion. Put a Nikkor 50mm f/2 on there and it's an absolute joy. When I got the Nikon, it came with this Vivitar 200mm tele lens which I rarely use but oh my gods does it feel great when I do. It's not what I'd call a good lens, nor a bad one. But a lens that big with metal consteuction makes your camera feel like a weapon. I have taken some pretty great pictures with it but it's an awkward focal length. Usually if things are far away, they're too far for the 200mm but otherwise it feels like most things are too close. Anyway, 50mm is my thing.

This is stunning, I love the fashion editorial type shoots 🙂 How do you go about styling each outfit? Im interested to learn more about editorial prep, e.g working with a stylist vs sourcing the clothing independently x

Hi Ejatu. The shots of Preciuos in the headscarf with elements in the scarf matching her hair were very clever, those small details again from you that make a big difference. If a picture is good, its good, regardless of whats shot on. A wonderful session with the usual excellent styling and a model you work well with. Laters.

Hi Ejatu. You had a good year in 2024 and took a lot of images to be proud of. I liked seeing the pictures in this series at the end in print with nice layouts to go with them. Enjoy the rest of your week, laters.

@@EjatuShaw Depending on the software you use to edit the video there should be an effect akin to "Fill left with right" or something like that. You can also make the stereo track mono which does the same thing

Nice work. And using the light stand to focus on seems to work. I am just not a fan of those backdrops. They are so stereotypical and have been used for decades.
@thevoiceman619223 күн бұрын
I am strictly a film Schooter. It looks like your film camera has some light leaks. Doing a film vs digital is like comparing apples to oranges. You should compare the same medium on 2 different cameras. Example. A dslr to a mirrorless. A manual film camera to an automatic one. Digital cameras work for you with their histograms and white balance and raw or jpeg photoshop etc... It is a computer. Film camera you have to make them work for you.
@carlitosodell23 күн бұрын
Film for me as well. Film and digital comparisons, I don't see the point. Different mediums neither one better than the other.
