Aren't the personalities of all animals adorable and hilarious?! kinda humanize 'em a little bit I love it! All the animals on your homestead have GOT to know they're well loved and taken care of. THey just know.. ya know? ;)

I’m surprised that you haven’t built yourself a big ol equipment shed for all your farm equipment

Those Highland cattle look like they could be related to Woolly Mammoths. ;-)

Also I thought you said equipment was made to be outside. I wouldn't blame it on the battery so much as the vehicle needs to be stored, so you don't have to keep plugging in.

I'm telling you Al, you guys should have built a sawmill. The folks over at Simply living Alaska have one, and they have processed all their own wood in all different sizes. You wouldn't have to run to town if you had done that.

Hi Al, any chance you could share the model # of that mighty little HF Booster Pack? Could definitely come in handy b/c these brutally cold temps are certainly causing a world of hurt down here in MA too.

I used the same poly carb sheets for our greenhouse and wish I would have sealed the ends with clear silicone because bugs and spider crawl into the grooves. I’ve had to pull a panel and blow out the channels because of them

Did you get the floor pipes working in the shop?
@josephvieira410711 сағат бұрын
Hey Al, install a timer on the shop wall, and you can set a couple of times that will turn power the engine heaters. I also suggest to have a battery tender. This will save those battieries from low voltage

On the battery connectors I mention on another comment. Amazon has them they are a 50 Amp battery connector kit for about 7 dollars! They may have them at Harbor Freight or Lowe’s.

Taking care of kids and teachers was my role as teacher and administrator in public schools for nearly 40 years. Please hear the compassion I’m directing your way. It’s about your winter coat. I have a scenario to consider, like the rest of us who watch your videos(some religiously) I want your family to remain healthy, whether you post vids or not. Please do consider wearing your winter coat all the time while you’re out. I know, from experience, if you fell and busted, or dislocated a hip if you don’t have your winter coat on, you’ll have other problems instantly. If you bust a hip, one can barely move, let alone put on a coat. I’d hate to have to read the word hypothermia in any of your descriptive thumbnails! Much love for you all, from Puget Sound Region.

To make the use of the jump pack easier, install a industrial battery connector with cables to the battery so all you have to do it make up a jumper to plug int the mounted collector and just plug your jump pack in and start your tractor! Also you can install connectors on other pieces of equipment to use it on all of them!

Have you thought about a Woodmizer, you have so much timber and you use a phenomenal amount of lumber, would it not be cheaper in the long run to mill your own lumbar?

Al- What you need to do is set your tractors up with DUAL batteries. Most dealers in New England will spec all their equipment with dual just because of the cold NE Winters. The other thing you should get is a timer to plug your tractors into when you know you are going to be using them the next day. That way you can have the block heater come on a few hours before you're going to need it. A lot easier on the diesel engines than trying to start them stone cold. Stay warm!

Are you concerned that the concrete floor will get coated and frozen with snow and ice at the opening? It would be very slippery for the cows.

I’ve said before Al and Gina you wouldn’t have this problem so much if you had an undercover for all your trucks and machinery. You have heeps of space. Seems a shame all that beautiful machinery you have is getting all rusty out in the weather. Also cannot start in your severe weather conditions. Another build for you.
