Why , they don't have the Jazz Musicians on these you tube music to me this is insulting to the Jazz Masters who created this great impeccable music Art Form of America by Black American of the 50ies and 60ies when Jazz was at it's Best Form.

This made a massive impression on me at age 7 and nearly 6O years later is still my all time favourite film. It’s faultless. And this scene, so different from the novel, is always incredibly moving. Hard to imagine modern films having such impact decades after they were made

It's not supposed to be funny, but about surreal juxtaposition. Buñuel was a Surrealist and nearly all of his movies do contain Surrealistic plots or references. He was also the filmmaker who made Un Chien Andalou together with Salvador Dali...

"But she ought to go careful in Vienna. Everybody ought to go careful in a city like this'. We could interpret Mr Popescu's words as referring to affairs of the heart rather than a threat to Holly Martins as we witness Anna's unrequited love for the handsome rogue Harry Lime.

Same! His comping becomes increasingly more compelling throughout KDs solo, and then he brings it allllll the way back down for the sax solo. Then there’s a section in the sax solo where he’s trading 4 bars of chordal accompaniment with himself in two different registers. Then he takes a fantastic solo of his own!
