Man I used to play this on the trumpet I always loved how much emotion you could put into this music track with the trumpet. With the Symphonic Orchestra I always loved Pirates of the Carribean as well. And James Bond ofc.

I took up the alto saxophone three years ago. This video makes me wish. I’d taken the trumpet instead.

I want to be able to play with a free tone like this. Are you a professional?

My tone is solid because…… (drum roll) I listen to Matt Cruice!! Listening to you for years has made my timbre and tone excellent. Thank you for a reference!!

Notes and trumpet notes are not the same
@thetrumpetman20 күн бұрын
I normally put the notes just as I play them, but I wanted this one to be more accessible to people if the high notes are too much. So I marked a couple of sections in the music as optional octave higher.

This is unusual in that this piece is normally done much in the way of Strauss - a moving waltz where the animato comes directly from tempo di valse and tempo manipulations. That said its done subperbly well here, though my preference would be ContraAlto Horn as opposed to trumpet.
@thetrumpetman21 күн бұрын
Thanks! I tried to emulate Julie Andrews in this one because otherwise it can get bogged down in just being the same thing over and over with just the instrumental.
@Harlem5521 күн бұрын
@@thetrumpetman Thats exactly what my impression was - the reason that the original was effective was because the orchestra shifted between the approaches of Strauss and the principal theme of Rimsky-Korsokov's Capricio espangnol Mvt. 4. - Where Julie andrews' part was written remnicient of the Flutes and Clarinets - bounces are hard on woodwinds and harder still in brass. That said, anyone whom can play this arrangement well on any brass instrument seriously need apply with Andre Rieu. Rather, I think this arangement serves well as an audition piece for the symphony, especially if youre dealing with Slatkin.

Is this sheet music available anywhere?

Not yet. I'm having trouble making it available right now, but figured that at least in the meantime people could play along with it if need be.
