Beautiful tone and phrasing. You keep on inspiring me to reach your level of playing. 👌👍

Thank you very much! I'm glad you mentioned the phrasing! Sometimes I think trumpet players use too much "great sound" at the expense of phrasing, so I try to make phrasing come through on this channel.

This is great work - if youre trying to make a flugel horn sound like Horn in F. (Which in terms of tone darkness flugel horn is between the horn in F written trebble and trumpet). Historically, flugels were often used with the woodwinds in counterpoint (scale runs in thirds or tenths as with the clarinets) to trumpets and bones, with the tuba and barri lines subject to doing their own thing. The melodic rhythm indicates a horn or a cello part - where the break is small, due to passing the break on upbeats in the middle of a bar. That said, well done. This is impecable skill and what this should be.

Thank you! And for this one, I used EQ to make the flugel sound even darker. I wanted this to feel like a warm hug.

Thank you! When I was editing it, I saw one of your recent videos and thought I had used the same background you did! But it did end up being a little different.

Ha ha! Yeah, there aren’t that many good free backgrounds. Mr B’s Covers uses a FCPX plug in - but it’s subscription based.

Can I just say thank you very much you are THE trumpet man! Because I have greatly improved my playing by being able to learn how to play any piece at the RIGHT speed by playing along your video (usually I play a bit too fast which was my downfall in my school band but now I fixed it and my brass teacher even trusted me to be first chair and have the hardest part along with the player with years of experience while I only played for a year!) I also think you for the music sheet Because it was the "duel of the fate" video that allowed me to have a great piece to play for my stand alone performance in front of an actual audience So yeah thank you very much!

That's great to hear! Congrats on your hard work resulting in your brass teacher trusting you with first chair!!

Soy un principiante con la trompeta, elegí el instrumento por casualidad pero tú haces que me alegre de aquella feliz elección. Que bonito suena❤
