@@RustedKCmotogood to know! Have you done any custom tuning with it? I was going to give that a go once I locate the stock stage 1 SE tune

I’ve done one custom tune. Just drove around for about 45 minutes at different speeds, rpms, etc to fill in as many boxes as possible. Let me know how it works for you.

@@RustedKCmotoyou won’t believe this but I hooked the pro street SE tuner up tonight and… it will only allow a stage 1 stock tune!! Apparently even though I’m in Virginia my Low Rider ST has a California VIN. I’m super mad. This thing is basically worthless to me other than loading the stock stage 1. Looks like I’ll have to go with another tuner (aftermarket) and get a 2-1 one day…

Most of them not related to motorcycling.. lol camping is more dangerous.

hi, what year is the bike? because since 2017 the diameter of the collectors has dropped to 39mm from the initial 42mm, I was wondering if you had to install reducers on the terminals to adapt them to the collectors?

It’s a 2022. I’m not sure about the answer to your question since I traded it for the Low Rider ST. But I did not mess with any of that when I had the bike.

Welcome to the world of Harley Davidson. Your experience has been shared by many, many…..too many owners. Myself included. It would take too long to explain what happened to me on a 2001 FLHT STD. But eventually after fighting (almost literally) with the owner of the dealership and the motor company, I finally was made happy. The owner of the dealership wasn’t and when I went to pick up my m/c was told that he didn’t want to see me or my bike at his dealership again. I learned one very important thing from a great friend of mine that used to work for Harley Davidson. If you have a problem during your warranty period. Make sure that you record your mileage when you bring it in. A picture dating the date and mileage at the dealership will be helpful later if you have a problem. Why, you may ask???? Because in my case my bike was used as a loaner and had; 400 miles put in it while they kept it for over a month. I went through the typical responses, waiting for parts, trying to figure it out etc…. It also had a big chunk missing from the fairing. I was not a happy camper. The dealership owner tried dismissing my obvious anger by saying the odometer probably had an electric spike that caused it to jump 400 miles. Well, would the dealership honor a warranty claim if I brought it in after my 12,000 miles expired? Ha! Just try that one. The thing about recording your mileage is what my friend asked me if I had done. Thankfully I had. My friend suggested asking to see their warranty report. Things changed dramatically. All of a sudden, Harley Davidson offered me a 2002 off the assembly line (this is back when there was a waiting list) if I would pay the increase of the 2001 to the 2002. I agreed. Come to find out, the dealership failed to log my mileage down when I brought the bike in. Big mistake by the dealership. But they are still in business 22 years later and apparently doing well and I wish them nothing but the best! The internet is full of Harley Davidson dealership horror stories. I haven’t had any problems with my 2002 Twin Cam 88 knock on wood. I hope my experience may help someone going through a similar tale.

I've been using the Fanttik X9 Pro pump for a year, only charged it twice. I pre-ride check most rides, more-so with temperature fluctuations in the north east. Very convenient to use, and high quality. I have saddle bags, so I also keep a camp chair, camp table, and a small cooler, so wherever I take a break, I will have a place to relax and have a drink.

Loc-tite the non-critical ones with Blue Loc-tite and the critical ones like Brake calipers, use Permatex Orange, 4 times stronger than Blue, but removable. I don't think Loc-tite makes an orange version yet, hence the brand change. Just Blue, Red and Then some stuff for bearing outer-race locking etc..

I hate to necro an old video but I think your original review was awesome and I'm about to pick up an 883. Newer rider(had a Rebel 250 6 years ago, haven't rode since) and I have the same concerns you did. I think a bigger bike may be too much to get back into it but I really don't want to feel the need to upgrade in 6 months or a year. Will the Iron 883 satisfy my itch long term? I'd be paying cash and not financing if that matters.

I would see if you could test ride it first. It’s a good starter bike but you will likely find it uncomfortable on longer/highway rides.
