I love the LRST , awesome look i think of it as a modern dyna with a fairing! But i agree seat, bars and pipes are the first thing to change but it doesnt come with speakers in the fairing but thats a add on you think at that price you would get more ! , after those upgrades, youre in street glide price that comes with all of it

Long stem mirror … NICE !!! All I see is my shoulders . I got use to adjusting body posture before changing lanes . Having an unobstructed view sound like a a win .

Excellent video. Harley needs to hear this for their next update. Especially regarding the handlebars. I am considering this bike, but I know the first thing I will have to do is get a pullback riser. So that adds to the price. It doesn't need to be set up this aggressively as a sport touring bike.

Clamshell bags are what they are. Right side short one allows you to show off your upgraded rotor caliper and wheel while allowing the left side bag to carry more. Not symmetrical, correct.

I had to chose between the S and the ST. I chose the '23 S because the ST's bags are the 1srt thing I'd get rid of. I think the ST as a bit pricey for what it is. Everyone ought take note that Harley dealers still has plenty of leftover '23 models for both the S and ST. That's crazy this far into '24...they're being discounted quite a lot. There is no reason to buy a '24 when you can get the same thing for much less $$$ in a '23. HD is making way too many motorcycles for a market that doesn't exist. I do enjoy my FXLRS after I put cam/oil pump, exhaust, tuner, seat, bags, sissy bar, fairing...etc. on it. That's about $5K worth(I did the work myself). The ST is not worth the extra $$$. No waving.

I test rode a BMW F750 GS and it was a eye opener. That bike is infinitely more comfortable than low rider S. It has all the power needed. You will never feel heat. Great Screen and all tech . Automatic suspension. Pillion seat included and my pillion was happier than ever after like 2 hours of rider and was ready for entire day. The BMW dealer gave the bike for whole day. If touring is what you want you must check the GS variants from BMW.

The Indian dealer down the street from me has a ‘22 BMW R18 I really want to go try out. Way cheaper than a road glide!

If you are going for the cruiser from BMW then go for theR18 bagger( they have more suspension travel and space for pillion). The downside is only Mustang makes aftermarket seats for them. I have visited their showroom and taken a look on those R18 . The built quality and material is top of the line. Never seen another company beat Harley on fit and finish. They are also way cheaper. The Harley is now heavily priced and will sure have electrical bugs to deal with . The heat near your thigh will still be there on a Harley unlike R18. I would have bought one but for the lack of parking in my place.

The st should have just came with a two into one.

I bought a 23 st. And then turned it into an s😂. The st is way overrated. And that fairing is criminally overrated. I have any sport fairing now and it does the exact same thing as the st fairing but weighs a lot less. The bags that come with the st are useless for anything other than a jacket, gloves, a bottle of water and shit like that. Plus if we’re being honest it just doesn’t look like it should exist. Cable and riser change out is easy. Cable kit is plug and play and risers are six bolts. Cost me about $900 to go from oem to 10.5”

10:40…the last thing this bike is is a ‘touring set-up bike’. For some odd reason and I have no idea where it came from y’all are under the impression this is a little Road Glide. Nowhere has Harley marketed or videoed it as such. It’s an ‘S’ with a fixed fairing and detachable bags. This bike is a ripper and all the features and ergonomics where carefully executed to do just that, rip! I’m sorry your roads are straightaways instead of twisties. If you had bends, mountains and canyons I think you would be in a better position to see Harley did this bike perfectly. If you’re looking for a ‘motorcycle experience’ look no further, if you’re looking for an SUV trade up to a touring chassis or a Pathfinder.

You complain about the preload adjustment. But, the stock configuration is for just one ass, not two...solo sport-touring(speaking from HD corporate POV). You added the passenger equipment I only ride alone and my weight is stable. Again, I must say the FXLRST is too much $$$ for what it is. Cheap, cheap cheap on the manufacturing side(gage, passenger equipment and just a plain fairing (you can buy in aftermarket) and way overpriced on the MSRP side. It really is not worth it. I'm glad I did not buy one; I'm sorry you did. Why? Because you're going to want to change it and get rid of much of what you paid for in the 1st place.

best bikes are maintenanced by their own riders. get a service manual and teach yourself!
