Is it common a tire to be unbalanced only inside? Just got new tires an noticed three tires have weights on inside and outside, but one tire have one clip balance only inside nothing outside. Is that normal?

Wow I was trained on the wrong side nice tip for luring the bead esp on truck tires, low profiles, and run flats, I stood there trying to take it off, he had more leverage on the opposite side!

It's a pitty he did not mention the positioning of the valve when fitting and stripping the tyre.

As such doesn’t tell you the correct position of the tire on the duckbill. It’s opposite when dismounting and mounting the tire. Dismounting : you put the tire over the duckhead under the tail. Mounting is opposite, : tire is under the duckhead over the tail. “As such” is very weak instruction.

I don't work at a tire shop. But I always was curious as to how most shops do change over tires especially in the winter rush.

You should have used plastic rim protectors to prevent any scratching og the rim? And I too am just learning to use my tyre machine. I am taking my time and watching experts remove tyres, But a Nice machine.

Thank you so much for this video. Just started working in a shop and partnered with an old guy who’s complete know it all for a trainer. Doesn’t have the patience to train the new guy so I basically have to train myself. I was on this machine and he would get upset with me for failing to understand the process of how this machine works even though he doesn’t teach me. Anyways, thank you for making this process so simple. I’m going in tomorrow with full confidence after this video. ✌🏾✌🏾

Same, same and many if the techniques were not shown, note where his body is when using the lever to deal with the bottom bead of the tire to take it off, incredible. Some these mechanics are clearly not teachers.

Kind of a lot was missed in the explanation for the rim to tire matching. I can see that you do as the machine tells you to do. I want to know why! Did the machine determine that the chalk was to be applied to a high spot or a low spot and the tire high spot or low spot. Do you put two high spots together or vice versa? or a high and low spot. People are going to miss the why, unless they don't care, which a lot of "TECHS" don't.

People are complaing about him scratching up the rim by using a metal tire iron....its a damn tire rim morons, tires dont need to be good looking or pretty....they are fucking tires and rims literally no one is going to give a damn how your rims look unless they(and most likely yourself) are some rich uppity douche bag. Dont get me wrong if the rims are chipped and cut up to hell to the point where they need to be replaced do to a chance of the tire falling off ect. Then yes you have every right to complain, but otherwise...shut up please

I know it's 4 years, but branch out into Big Rig Tires and roadside tire service. Huge money in truck tires. Companies usually cover the cost and owner operators can easily pay as well. Try giving owner operators a 10% break and they'll send you SO much business over their CB's and message boards. Corporations can absorb the full cost.

Bead sealer is mainly for damaged/corroded rims so you can get more use out of them before replacing. Sometimes rims with a bent lip or corrosion will have a small slow leak at the bead and the bead sealer will stop it.
