One thing you forgot to mention is that the deep switch needs to be on position in order to work like that

Great video, thanks. I have a Superflo VS pump (older, not RS-485) EasyTouch 8 Compool upgrade. When my EasyTouch upgrade was installed, the Compool power center was re-used. As a result, there are no screw terminals on the high voltage side to which I can connect the Superflo VS control wires. The only option I see is to wire the pump control directly to the 2 position connectors for each circuit on the EasyTouch upgrade board. Is that correct? Thanks!

Quick question...i hooked mine up to 4 and common and it came on a very light setting. Is 1 the strongest pump function or 4? I watch another video and was told to connect 1 to 3 and 2 to 4 on the red communication contacts. And the pump is running at a medium speed. Really need the pump to come on strong without the controller if you know how? I habe the jandy 2.7 vsflopro variable speed pump. Thank you

I thought that 4 was supposed to be the highest. I had not heard about messing with the communication port . I'm pretty sure that it tops out at the priming speed which is 2500 RPMs without the controller. You could try messing with the dip switches. I'll see what I can find out I'll play around with one this week and see if I can get it to do more.

As soon as I did this (connecting a different thermostat/remote) my heater defaults down to 70 as desired temp every time it kicks back on ... so never fires until I go manually it back up. What did I do wrong?

That seems odd normally when you set a temperature on the heater it stays at the last temperature you set. Normally I leave the heater set at 104 if I'm controlling it from another controller

@@JohnThePoolExpertGuy I know! I'm wondering if I shorted out some memory thing or if this is wired to be a harder stop/start (although that makes no sense because even after a 30 hour power outage that thing fired back up and was still at my last setting)

My Pentair intelltouch is only maxing out 104. I had a Pentair technician did some unethical service to get more service later with my lights ,so I don’t know if he crossed a spa wire or not. I checked the heater wires in the panel and are fine. He did install a new variable speed pump and changed my thermostat. I can go up and down on heater but stops at 104.. Any help please . Even on the easytouch remote only up to 104. Have a Pentair mastertemp 400

Currently for safety all residential heaters max out at 104°

If it doesn't seem warm enough it's a possibility that your water sensor may not be accurate. Because 104 is very hot.

Basically the same way but be careful gluing fittings to pipe that has already been heated because it shrinks

I believe you need to have a contractor's license or a business license that has to do with pools
