If you are in Canada, you get the sunroof with the manual transmission as well. The biggest difference is adaptive cruise control.

Hello sir, would you be able to check whether the units can be change on an Elantra N? I was hoping to see if they could but your video did not cover it; these should be under Settings -> General -> Units, I'm interested in importing the car over to the EU but I'm not sure if I can change Miles for Kilometers, Fahrenheit for Celsius and mpg to liters/100kmh. I guess time format is less of a priority for me.

Quick question. Can drive modes be changed while driving or does the car need to be in park before changing? Thanks!
@thetorquedork58572 жыл бұрын
You can change the car modes on the fly anytime you want. The car will always start in normal mode. I would just suggest not flooring it and changing the mode while you're doing that, but you can certainly be in motion.

What are your daily driving comfort impressions? Obviously in the softest mode on suspension do you still think it's very stiff as other people mention?

It is certainly stiffer than your average sedan. But it is more than tolerable for daily driving.

Is there a way to save the automatic creep off to a drive mode?
@thetorquedork58572 жыл бұрын
No unfortunately. Hyundai only wants you using it on the track and that's why. It's kind of silly but that is the way it is.
@bodyno37072 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the great video. You speak so well. I'm living in Korea and I'm thinking about buying one with a manual gearbox when Hyundai removes the weird- and even stupid-looking triangles from the body. Do you think it's okay to drive this car for a daily commute of some 30 miles? I'm interested only in manual. I'm 50 years old and worried about the stiff suspension and the seats most.
@thetorquedork58572 жыл бұрын
The suspension is totally fine in normal mode. You can even drive in N mode and lighten the suspension all of the way. This is the perfect balance between a commuter car and bad ass track car.

I’m torn on theses latest surprise performance/daily drivers. The k edition civic si is actually a great car with many of those sought-after fun car attributes. However, that it was actually “detuned” has really bothered me. Everything about the N gets my midlife crisis juices flowing! My only concern is the mpg (I wish I didn’t care about that but it does really bother me). Do you feel that to be an issue, or not such a big adjustment from a budget perspective?
@thetorquedork58572 жыл бұрын
Mpg is great when you want it to be. If I drive it super hard in N mode I get about 19-20. If I drive it in normal mode and really pay attention to how I drive I can average about 34. That is damn good for a car that is this much fun.

hey nice review, i respect your opinion on the cons. personally brake dust doesnt bother me since i live in canada and our cars get dirty regardless. as for the wheels i usually swap oem for aftermarket anyway. more options would have been nice. what bothers me the most is that the rear seats are not split in half so if you wanted to carry something long and had a 3rd passenger, you cant do that, seems like a simple thing they couldve added on.

I have a white one I've had since Saturday, and the lock button works for me, but I've found that I do have to hold my finger there for a full second before it reacts to my finger being there. I'm not sure if that's so people don't accidentally lock it by slightly brushing up against it or what, but you may want to try placing a thumb or index finger there and just holding it for a second or two and then see if it reacts.

It is working fine once I got the hang of it but certainly not the best one I have used on a car. The driver side handle seems loose too so that may be causing some issue. Will have to have it looked at.
