People gave money because they wanted to. Patreon is a monthly subscribe service. If people are no longer happy with the content provided they can unsub. People are being nasty because they feel betrayed(The parasocial part). You can express your discontent without being mean and hateful.

Turns out I got completely fooled. I only just realized that you can actually watch the video previews on Patreon even if you're not a supporter. Your preview video, "ASMR Barbershop Roleplay" from August 12th, was a brutal wake-up call for me. It really seems like you were just farming subscribers to eventually funnel your fans to Patreon, where, of course, they are forced to pay. I can't think of any other reason why you'd happily continue making ASMR videos and act like nothing has happened. You even said that if you had the chance to redo your farewell video, you wouldn’t really change anything. What? So your KZbin viewers get a few devotionals and then nothing. Meanwhile, your Patreon supporters continue to get weekly ASMR videos where you're motivated and truly yourself. I can't believe I wrote such a thoughtful and warm comment defending you and trying to lift you up. I can't believe you once said you wished everyone would think of others before themselves. I can't believe you dare to say you're a person of faith. I really believed you were a good person who loves their community. But it seems you're only interested in your viewers' money. Disgraceful. I will pray that God cleanses your impure heart and comforts everyone who feels betrayed and abandoned by you.
