Enjoyed the footage. It turned out very nice. From 1 Marine to another, Semper Fi 💯💪🇺🇲

We are building are own but having issues with the hinges rubbing when closing the doors. Any insight on the hinges? Do they have an offset?
@thediygrunt5 күн бұрын
No there is no offset the left and right boxes are exact mirror images. When the box is fully assembled and the doors are shut the hinges just barely avoid touching. The swing doors I would say are roughly an 1/8" maybe 1/4" smaller in combined width compared to the width of the main box. So when the doors are shut the hinges avoid hitting each other. With both doors shut there is a slight gap in between them so if the main box is 36" inches wide you don't want two swing doors at 18" wide. You want each swing door at 17 and 7/8" or 17 and 15/16" wide so you will have the small gap to keep the hinges from hitting.

Hope you know you had 2 un used wired that you could had used one to connect to c wire terminal at the furnace and find the other end where the thermostat is and connect it to ecobee c wire terminal
@davidm81218 күн бұрын
On my Danby mini-fridge the plastic cover actually had the wires threaded through it! Was a huge pain to carefully pull them out one by one, making sure to wiggle the thicker black cables out! Just want you to know if you’re struggling you can do it! If the fridge is already broken don’t feel like you need to be too careful!

I've read that straight food scraps can be kind of acidic for worms and its a good practice to include a bit of "brown" stuff like paper, cardboard scraps, sawdust or peatmoss. I love the scalable-ness of these things! Will be trying them in my self watering beds this year.
@robhalter9 күн бұрын
looks like your wire harness at the furnace has extra wires in it . All you had to do was add the C wire .

If my house is burring down I could care less about the stuff in the gun closet. There are more important things in life than an inanimate object that I could buy again and is insured.

Its a finish gun. You don't have to push the nails in and a saw aint worth the muffs there tuff guy
@thediygrunt5 күн бұрын
So if the nail is still sticking out I should just leave it like that rather than actually get it flush with the surface so it can be covered up. I have enough hearing damage, I don't need anymore. I don't want to wear hearing aids when I'm 50 because I listened to some "tough guy" on the internet who thinks hearing protection is stupid. Also its spelled "Tough" not "Tuff".

Add a film on aftermarket headlights. You’ll thank me later. I’ve had Spyder projector lights for 5 years on my cayenne. They will become cloudy without film.

Gotta say it. Your door handing is backwards. Hinges on right is left hand door when door opens out. Left hand reverse if opening in. So your door is right hand.
@thediygrunt5 күн бұрын
Yes i do grab the door with my right hand. That is a very astute observation.

On step 6 where the instructions are again blatantly wrong, did you have a problem with the base pins? The holes for the base pins are obstructed by the bottom piece so we can’t get it on with them in.
@Ron.8816 күн бұрын
Actually at 5:07 I can see your base pins are in. How did you get the bottom tightened in place with them in?
@thediygrunt9 күн бұрын
Sorry I didn't get to you sooner, had a lot going on with work. Were you able to figure it out? Looking at the instructions I have, I have a note saying that on step 6, they show CB base going into CB2 but my notes say it should be CB1. Was that the problem?

This video was not very detail for a instructional video. This was also a lot of unnecessary and time consuming work that makes no sense. The more efficient and cheaper way to change a twin sized bed into a day bed would be to make a headboard for one of the long sides of the bed and connect it with brackets. If your original head and footboard extend past the height of the mattress then your already done. If they don't then you could make a rectangle out of lumber to go on both short ends of the original head and footboard. You can add short slate spacers for decoration or cover it paneling. This way it only takes you 2-3 hrs working slowly..... you're welcome

I’ve always hated shower doors. I partially moved in with my mom to help her out. I just bought her a bath chair lift as she really wants to be able to take a bath and she’s not able to, only a shower. I need to remove the structure as you did. Now I know I can do it and get her in that shower chair and that bath she wants. Thank you so much

Yes, eventually that will most likely happen. For now I simply needed to fix what the previous owners had done.

was it difficult to fit the new sensor housing inside the junction box? mine seems very tight with all the wiring occupying the space
@thediygrunt5 күн бұрын
Yes, it was very tight since the sensor is so big, hopefully in the future they find a way to reduce the size of the sensor.

You did a great job prepping and execution- the problem areas your highlighting I think it’s bc of the black color making it stand out more. I bet if you did it all white wouldn’t be noticeable. I have the same wrap around and debating to do this or tear it out all together. Great video thanks 🙏

Could the bigger models that are designed to take a 1/2 inch glue stick also use up your 1/4 inch glue sticks that you had?
@adamdietrich2309Ай бұрын
I just wanna let everyone know that in this video there were two extra wires in the thermostat cable. You can use one of those wires for your C terminal without having to wire that adapter in. if you don’t have an extra wire you need that adapter. I also saw a couple people asking about the jumper between RC and RH the ecobee thermostat will do that on its own. The only time you would need the RH on the ecobee is if you’re working with gas or oil and have a separate transformer for your heat.
