Very nice project! This plays more like a modern sonic game using classic sonic's model but it sure is an unique idea! I like this idea very much and the sense of speed is just amazing 👏 👌

Great video!!! I think classic sonic's really fun to play with in tech demo 2 but since his turning radius to me is still a bit wide it would have been cool to see him have a drift but like in generations so he turns into a spindash ball

if you use the roll/spindash your turn speed increases!

It's very clear to me that the big difference between Sonic Utopia and other 3D Sega games, besides the open world itself, is the mechanics and the game. It manages to emulate the 2D Sonics mechanics much more faithfully and is far superior to the various mechanics proposed by Sega in the 3D Sonic games.
