The only way Sanathan Dharma can last if the fundumental of "non-violence" principle is deeply rooted and agreed by the Hindus and practiced by them. Reference: Vachanmurut Gad-I-69; In shikshapatri sloka 11 and 12. In all these it is clearly said no animal killings for food or sacrifice; as non-violence is a MUST for Moksha ( Vachanmurut Gad-I-69). I think the leaders of Hindu Faith such as Acharyas, Satgurus, learned scholars, Hindu religion institutions, should unite as one Hindu Faith and work towards a vision for India/Bharat which is meat free country. Only then the Hindus can be at peace to worship their deity of choice; else the future as it currently looks is bleak; the Hindu temples will be encroached by the butcher shops. Time is still not too late... instead of making goals to make bigger and better temples or grander Uatsovs; focus on making a goal as part of Hindu faith along with other Sects/Sampraday... that we as Hindu faith set a goal to help get rid of vices by XYZ million people by 2028 etc, or have peaceful demonstration standing in front of slaughterhouses or non-veg food stalls and preach about benefits of vegetarian diet and why, and make a goal to stop fighting about who's Bhagwan is greater, focus on Bhakti, Tyag in society, and non-violence lifestyle preaching. If Hindus do not unite towards a future vision of meat free society... it will be too late; no place in India you will be able to practice your own religion peacefully... so unite towards a meat free Bharat.
