Going to see them for the first time (hopefully not the last) this coming April and I cannot wait. Crazy how they still bring the intensity after 30+ years

Since the beginning, their performance has never decreased, even more perfect now. except, they now rarely do 'crab' thing.

When you talk about the greatest drummers of all time there's a huge list And I don't knock anyone for their opinion. But iny opinion, Hakke is top dog. Who is literally better? Ill wait
@boomerwithatumor4624Ай бұрын
i think when it comes to something like that , instead of a number 1, 2, 3 etc, there is instead say 5 to 10 drummers in a category so elite that neither one of them can be compared to one another. they are all "the best" haake, adler, Jesper Strömblad are 3 of my favs

Shame about the silly histrionics and singing. It ruins the performance and makes it look cheap.
@davidsheriff92742 ай бұрын
His vocalizing Is not histrionics at all,he has been asked about it before, and he says it's not done consciously and he can't help it,if you look up some interviews he talks about it,If you don't like it and you think it's distracting and annoying, that's one thing and many people agree with you, but to say that he's intentionally doing it to be theatrical and quirky is simply not true. There is nothing phony and "showbizy"about him at all,he is a true artist. BTW, there are other pianists that unintentionally verbalize as well when they play like Glenn Gould and Oscar Peterson. Keith recently had a debilitating stroke,he did an interview with Rick Beato and if you watch that you will see that he is a very mild mannered humble person,he wouldn't dream of doing anything phony on stage, that's not who he is.

The intro of Stengah always makes me so crazy. Like in Rational Gaze, Perpetual Black Second, Closed Eye Visuals, Straws Pulled at Random and Spasm. "Nothing" is definitely my favorite Meshuggah album. And is so f*ckin' good to see the band, especially Fredrik, going WILD with the FILTH GROOVE of "Stengah", it's impossible to contain yourself listening to that!!!
