My brother’s company made the commercial out of a video I took of a car I did a mechanical restoration on & I tried to mimic a super 8mm video of my dad backing out of the garage going to work at Chrysler Highland Park in a new company car. Once the video is sold & paid for, who knows 🤷♂️ maybe they changed their minds

Great idea to actual completion. I had a 1980 Mirada and loved the styling. You did a great job of imagining what you could do to make it a restomod dream car. Recently saw a video of the Mirada prototype. It had hidden headlights. Might be fun to add those at some point. Thanks for sharing your creation!

Absolutely incredible job. One question: I never got but a brief glimpse of the red hemicuda. Did it come from Washington State. My late friend, Brian, owned an oem monotone red hemicuda like yours for a couple decades. I worked on it a few times. Is this the same one?
@radarvectors22 жыл бұрын
Thanks Bud.. the cuda is originally a non non numbers matching 383 car. I bought it in 1987 & restored it “original” in 1988. Put the Hemi in it in 2004, but I put it through a more extensive “resto mod” conversion in 2017. Videos of that car on my channel 😎

WOW,,, Looks like a 1984 Mercury Capri. . . . . just kidding. .. looks amazing, and you obviously earned every mile you and your descendents are gonna put on it. That looked a ton of work. A 1983 black 318 2bbl LA car w/tan int. just showed up in town, and romur has it that it's for sale. I kinda know the people next door to where it's staying temporarily, so I got to get a good look around it, while I was there I wasn't gonna miss the chance to see the interior and pop the hood. The whole car is in surprisingly good shape, and it's apparently just come off of an 8 year hiatus of sitting somehwere in Texas. It seems to be living up to it's reputation of not running lean very well, because the idle has to be set pretty high or it won't stay running,, otherwise runs like typical 318. I have no idea what they're worth in decent condition these days, but The guy needs a work truck type vehicle and I have a very nice 97 Expedition I'm thinking about offering as a trade, simply because I like the Mirada. . . . the first gen Marauder,, LOL,, and I really don't need the Expedition, and never drive it. I'd much rather have the 360 or the 440 Mirada, but fat chance of even finding one at a reasonable price, if a guy even could find one for sale. I've been noticing Miradas popping up all over the internet this past year, like they were just made and released. Anyway I know where a confiscated motorhome with a running 440 is sitting for sale CHEAP. It was a rolling methlab so nobody wants it. I'm thinking pull the 440(entire drivetrain),, scrap the cats and the rest of the metals/aluminums, and end up with a free 440 besides the hours of sweat equity. I love mopars just not 318's,,, in fact nothing under a 400 preferably because I've blown up everything under 400 several times over each in my Barracua back in the day, and I haven't been able to blow up 400 and up. Shit I'm just rambling now, I need to go to bed. PEACE

Very stunning and hard job, so many years. The result, it`s how must be in the end, impressive. The guys who worked with Chairman Lee just had to see this one to believe. The early`s 80`s were very rough time for Highland Park, so this one should be like this, the very first day it was launched, but....lack of money, other targets, gas milage, reputation, took back the quality fact, so much for those survival days. Here at my home city, Bogota, Colombia, we had Aspen and Diplomats models, assembled here, but rebagded Dodge Dart and Dodge Coronet, as well, and the Slant 225 Six, fitted with a Carter 2 barrel carburator, the Hp numbers were 145. So, with 90 Hp, how could you move this car in those years?. Chrysler J body are, in my humble opinion, very attractive and luxury personal coupes of that hard era. Congratulations, my friend, what a piece of master job!!!.
