I wonder what used to be at 6th and Speedway in Tucson in the 90’s. There is now a Starbucks on that corner, hooray progress.

I have always thought this is a double meaning with humorous reference to the Wizard of Oz. Saw Wicked tonight at the theater and kept thinking about this song… I love Cracker’s music!

On Christmas 1993 I remember getting Cracker’s Kerosene Hat on cassette. Loved every song. As I got older I fell off Cracker into other bands. Now I’m 41. Yesterday I bought Cracker’s ‘96 album The Golden Age for $8.99 at a used store. Still awesome stuff. Each song made me feel alive again and not so disenchanted with life. . Now I’m revisiting other parts of their catalog. This song reminds me of daydreaming, getting drunk on life’s beauty; just having fun and realizing your worth. I’m glad I slept on Cracker because now I bought myself more time to search real music instead of today’s stuff. And Cracker is a group of masters whenever it comes to instruments or the written word. Love them. Hope they stay around forever

Saw him last moth here in L.A. He played mostly songs from his last 2 or 3 releases. I didn't know the material and it was one of the most compelling shows. An oxymoron, but it was so blatantly authentic; this was such a treat. Thanks for posting.

Incredible song from such a great album overall. Really harkens back to their best albums of the 90's. I only wish this song was LONGER!
