Why would you not have the pilots trained in handling a stall situation? It seems there was a long list of problems with the pilots handling the aircraft.

It's always the pitot tubes. :( ......well very often atleast.... I remember a plane going down killing all on board the flight crew were friends of mine as I've flown that route in that plane dozens of times. Included in the fatalities was a 20 year old girl and her 3 weeks old baby..she was flying home so her family could meet her baby. So bloody sad.

Why did they think they could reset the breaker in flight? Heck, I don't even like rebooting my remote work computer at home with zero chance of losing my life.

Would it kill aurbus to add feedback on the flighsticks as an indicator to the flight crew they are inputting opposite? AF 440 had same issue the pilots were fighting each other while the olane fell out of the sky.

Seems like Airbus planes have a lot of issues with their computers. I always heard they were the better planes but now I am wondering if this is truly the case.

Why do the first officers love to pull up so much, it was the same with the air france flight over the ocean.
@iladshyanchess8 сағат бұрын
There should be a pilot only emergency door open override. It’s code should be changing every flight takeoffs and only be known to pilot. There should also be a communication system to communicate to ATC outside the cockpit by the crew or pilot.

This is absolutely a tragedy. I have to say if he searched how to keep the other pilot from getting back in then he knew what he was doing. Why take innocent people and put them through this. 🙏🏽 to all. I'm so sorry.

How can you loose that much fuel and not notice it? It's maybe the most important metric in a plane. Can sb explain, i don't it. I know they have redundanr systems to their check fuel level on commercial airliners.

This is more of a design flaw in Airbus sidestick
@ralfhartmann86015 сағат бұрын
It is a design flaw in professional education. Even after entering of alternative law, Airbus-pilots have to be able to fly the airplane.

In the end, what was the issue with the system exactly? What did investigators find?
@Hellman55522 сағат бұрын
I thought the airbus has an anti stall system where it will “save” the plane from a stall automatically? Or was that added later?
@ralfhartmann86015 сағат бұрын
No, you are right but if you pull the circuit breakers this system degrades. But even in the mode this Airbus was (called alternate law) it is complete flyable and normally pilots are trained to do so. Why the first officer was not able to do and the captain does not simple say "my control" could only assumend.

The plane crashed due to one mistake of the pilots - the operation of the joystick by both pilots at the same time, due to the lack of a disabled instruction from the captain. He had to declare "I control the aircraft", and then the co-pilot would leave the joystick and the captain would stabilize the aircraft with ease.
