Wow! Truly spectacular filmmaking. I've made a few short horror films myself on my channel. Would really love your opinion as your vibe and look is pretty similar to mine. I have one called "the Mirror" that has a similar grade and vibe. Do you do all the work yourself or have a crew? I'd like to hear more from small creators that can make such astounding quality.

Or should look to spend more elsewhere for more features that will help me understand the basics better? Thanx in advance to all who answer.

@@keepitlo00 yes, this camera has one of the best lowlight capabilities even compared to Sony and has image quality better than a Red Komodo. However it’s a pain in the ass to setup. I’d recommend a basic camera starting out, here’s everything you need to know www.cleverghost.net/blog/sigmafpreview

Really enjoyed this one, as image-making for me is all about the tonality, tactility and immersion of an experience. I do think sensors make a difference too though, the BMCC6k/Pyxis sensor is I'm sure doing some interesting things that seem to help somehow with background separation (micro contrast? I know, I know... a controversial topic). I've just bought a Kipon L-mount to Pentax 67 mount adapter, 4 Pentax 67 lenses and a 0.7x wide angle adapter to go in front of it (to achieve same angle of view as medium format 6x7 sensors), and can't wait to start testing... quite funny since I've had to completely let go of camera rig size considerations given the size of these lenses (though curiously they're quite light, due to having relatively few lens elements compared to modern glass). On that image pop, another vote here for a video that looks into that topic... out of interest, the best video I've come across about micro contrast is this one: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oYa6hpqHm99nmsksi=FkE_Siua1HJ9e1Dw - it takes a look at it by changing settings and using some clever choices of image that reveal the effect of different types of photographic/video editor settings. It doesn't explain the 'art' side of the equation, but it does help provide a language and theory base for understanding why some images look the way they do.

Fantastic video per usual! Does this feel like a reasonable alternative to the SmallHD, or does it serve a different function for you? I've been planning on getting a cine7, but this looks like a really solid option too and now I'm sort of torn. Any thoughts having used both? (I know you've got the 5 inch but close enough lmao). Pumped for the focus pro video as well!
@cleverghostchiliАй бұрын
I have a long term written review on the small HD. I’d say the cine7 has unbeatable clarity sharpness and contrast that makes it worth the investment. Pyro 7 good for framing and a directors monitor, not great for critical focusing. I’d argue not an alternative if you pull focus
