@@cori3394 it’s definitely heavier. Still very solid and seemingly very durable. I think if your kid has a fairly strong swing he will completely fine. None of the bats I’ve seen in drop 10/8 I would consider crazy heavy or very end loaded to be completely honest. Really the only ones I’ve seen like that are the old skinny barrels. Those swing pretty heavy.

@@PerformanceFactoryBaseball ok sounds good. More was worried switching from the -10 to -8 then it already being extra heavy would be too much of a switch. Yah he is a pretty solid power hitter and he has loved the last few Meta bats and they seem to not crack like others we have tried.

@ I wouldn’t be too worried then. Honestly from what I’ve seen kids notice length much more than weight. A kid will notice moving up an inch or 2 way more than they will going to drop 8 from 10. If he has some power I wouldn’t worry about it at all. The icon is also a really solid option for a more power oriented hitter and also seems very durable. My son swung the white one all last season. Games, practice, BP etc… that bat probably had 5000 swings on it and just finally started to develop a small crack

Bought my son the Tank drop 10 during fall ball to use for fall and next season. What a mistake. First one came broken. The replacement also sounds awful and hits very inconsistent. His last bat was a Zoa which served him really well. I just ordered a Zen for his Christmas present. I am cutting our losses on the Tank. Should have stayed with Demarini from the get go. @PerformanceFactoryBaseball18 күн бұрын
@@cryptohitlist9324 27 is fine but I’d likely stick to a 1 piece alloy or 2 piece hybrid. Something like a Louisville slugger Atlas, Rawlings Mach Ai, Cat X2 or Demarini the goods one or 2 piece. The ball is just not coming fast enough and the kids are not strong enough for it to make any form of real difference at that age. You will likely see better performance out of an alloy bat at that age. For reference Lukas is just now starting to be able to fully compress the composite and he is 9 with a much harder than average swing. He hits the ball out of 240 fields. And we see pitching anywhere from 50-70 mph. You can go with the icon if he likes the look and it gives him confidence. @@刘世祺 all 3 are good. The zen may have the biggest sweet spot of the 3 but also seems to be the least hot. The Icon is usually my choice as it seems to be the best of the drop 10’s. A bit lighter than the icon in drop 10 but not quite as hot imo. -8 vs -10 it really depends on the kid. If your son is very big he could potentially swing a drop 8.
