Does the fondant need to be room temp? as it seems to not holds its shape? I am trying to make a cockatiel

I'd avoid using floral foam that could make contact with food, they contain toxins including formaldehyde, they also disintegrate into fine dust when dry that could be accidentally inhaled or ingested

I made it, learned on woodprix website. great solutions I think.

Mine was not as tidy as this. I think the main problem is that the fondant is too soft so its like modeling with play dough instead of clay. Everyone still saw it was a fox though so I am happy with it as a first try.

Hello! I am wondering what gauge wire you used and do you have to use fondant? Can you use regular ready to roll icing? Thanks
@catherinecorr17069 жыл бұрын
Is it edible
@mylittlepartyplanner8 жыл бұрын
Yes! It is just hardened fondant. Of course you would need to be careful of the wire in the middle!

Hi Sara. Sorry for the slow reply. As long as you store them in a dry, airtight container in a cool place (not in the fridge, just a cupboard will do), they will keep for many months. I suggest if you are worried about humidity, that you use food grade silicon sachets in your container too. All the best. Cheers

Hi again Sheryl, I forgot to add the tutorials for the safari cup cakes (see facebook page) will be added to my site too. I am just a bit behind putting things up. So sorry. I bet it's too late for your shower. I've been caught up working on a spy party!
@mylittlepartyplanner10 жыл бұрын
Hi Sheryl. Thank you for your kind words. I really appreciate them. I am about to upload a very simple little fox video. I will also be posting some tutorials on my website (see the link on this channel for My Little Party Planner). You may also like to check out the facebook page (mylittlecakedecorator). Hope the baby shower went well. Cheers :)

Thank you so much for showing us how to make the monkeys. Have a baby shower cake to do with safari animals on it and so far the monkey was giving me trouble. I used chocolate instead of fondant for my animals. It is fun to work with and very for giving if you make a mistake. Do you have any other videos that are animals? Please let me know so I can look into them. I truly like how you show every step of the way and you bring it right up close so we can see what you did. Thank you again.

would it work if i leave then just for a day or two ?
@mylittlepartyplanner10 жыл бұрын
Hi Paole. I am so sorry it's taken so long to reply. How long you leave them will depend very much on the conditions. Warm, humid weather things can take a very long time if they set properly at all. Try to find a dry, cool place to store them. Even in an air tight container. You can also add Tylose which is a hardener to help speed things on. This is availabel from cake decorating stores. Hope your stars were as success. Cheers

Simple, effective and beautiful ;) Thank you so much! I'm not sure if I'm going to do it as you did or if I'm going to do the pattern after putting the fondant on the cupcake surfasse ;) I still need to see what works best for me ;)

Oh goodness! I missed this question. You can purchase the dusts from cake decorating stores. Spotlight and some specialty shops have it as well. Cheers

what if you dont have a butterfly cutter
@mylittlepartyplanner10 жыл бұрын
You can cut out shapes using a knife if you don't have cutters. This is more fiddely but can be done. I sometimes do this. Use a small knife with a smooth blade - no serrated edges. Cheers
