Hi EmerySugar, fondant and moisture don't mix. The moiture in the fridge can make the fondant run. I dry out my fondant things by putting them into a sealed plastic container with a sachet of silica gel. This is a food grade, moisture absorbing gel. You can collect them from bottles of vitamins and in various food containers or purchase them on-line. Some pharmacies sell it too. It works a treat. The other thing is to keep your fondant things out of direct sunlight. Hope it goes well.

what if you dont have a butterfly cutter

You can cut out shapes using a knife if you don't have cutters. This is more fiddely but can be done. I sometimes do this. Use a small knife with a smooth blade - no serrated edges. Cheers
