Hi there, did you end up getting this running and tuned? I have the same intake, about to put it on a 302 over here in Australia. Most people here rubbish the intake, claim it's hard to get it to run right ( I don't think they have used it, people just like to put Speedmaster down ). But anyway, nice ride. If you have any updates, let me know. I will check your other videos.

@@busta351 it’s running. Not tuned, life is busy and expensive. But I’m starting to fear that what people say is true, that it’s too inconsistent to tune well. We’ll see.

do you think i could do something similar to avoid an ECU swap? i want to run ITB's on a BMW M54 engine, but swapping ECU is illegal in my country my thoughts were to do something similar to this with an OEM throttle boddy, and then just have the car re-mapped let me know if you think that might work or if it's stupid and i should just go standalone nobody selling M54 ITB kits had drive by wire support, all of them say I need a standalone ECU, and my car is a pull over magnet as it is, trying to avoid having the damn thing impounded
@greenflavoredstuff Жыл бұрын
I guess I'm not sure what you want to do... you want to put ITBs on an M54 but keep the original vehicle's ECU? If the ECU you are using has a MAF, you might be able to do it since measuring or estimating airflow is the ECU's main job. Are you able to remap the OEM ECU or is that not a possibility? If your ECU uses MAF and you can remap, I think you could do it. Your acceleration enrichment is going to be very different using ITBS vs a single throttle. Now for the throttle body motor... opening 6 throttles is a lot more work than opening one throttle, so there is a possibility that the motor could draw too much current. depending on the ECU that could mean burning up the motor driver chip or having it shut down. Originally I had a small throttle motor driver chip, and while it worked it couldn't fully open the throttles. I ended up winding my own throttle springs to lighten the load. I was able to open the throttles all the way but eventually that chip failed and i installed a driver chip like this: www.pololu.com/product/1451. This has way more capacity than I need, but thats better than not enough.

This is more exotic than the Hemi. Most people have never actually seen a SOHC in person.

I am a PCA certified instructor for 16 years. Never in a million years would I grab the steering wheel. If accident happens, you are liable when you grab the steering wheel. Definitely an amateur instructor.

Yes, as an Instructor would I dream of grabbing the wheel, that is a big no-no.

Hello! please tell me, did you connect this stepper motor directly or through a driver? and can you do the same with the x27 589 motor

I used a driver. It can be done with or without a driver with this specific motor, but I used a driver.

People buy what sells. You can't buy it if it's not being produced as a popular product in volume, to be successful. USA has had many winning (whatever: Tucker, SOHC, DOHC, Cobra, T-bird, Cougar etc) thru the years. It's the process. What wins in 1963 loses to 1963-1/2.

The projectile was a rock, wrapped in a heavy gauge wire. The wire provided a loop to hook the projectile to the trebuchet. Then the rock was covered in rags and if I remember correctly was then doused in diesel fuel and motor oil.
