I have a 63 falcon more door, setup pretty much the same way I'm thinking about dropping a 2.3t in. I'd like to pick your brain.

Feel free. I actually pulled this setup out for a 5.0 with ITBs.

What motor mounts did you use? I have a mustang 2 front suspension. It kinda looked like that's what is under yours.

@@TheBigred1781 yes I have Mustang 2 suspension. The motor mount thing is a long story, I'll link you to my blog posts about it. Motor mounts round 1: ironhydroxide.blogspot.com/2014/05/ive-wasted-time-ive-wasted-breath-i.html Motor mounts round 2: ironhydroxide.blogspot.com/2016/01/ive-got-this-place-that-ive-filled-with.html Conclusion is this: I do not recommend using the Ford 2.3 in a Falcon. The vibration in the car was severe and unnerving. 4 cylinders without balance shafts have a lot of inherent vibration and this chassis is not well equipped to absorb it. If you want a Ford 4 banger, use a Duratec. They are barely more than half the weight of a 2.3 and have balance shafts. If you want awesome NA performance at a bargain price, get a Toyota 3SGE BEAMS. 207 HP, $1400 for engine, accessories, clutch, 6 speed transmission, and ECU all day long on EBAY. If you want to be different but straight six like the Falcon had originally, get a nissan RB20DET (I put one in a Ranger) which is also really cheap for a complete powetrain package, maybe $2000 on ebay. Good luck and let me know what you decide!
