Think about bringing on some stockers. The sheep will help with the exrea grass I made trailea for my fencing when the grass it tall.

I've been following you for 2-3 months and didn't know you had seed stock from Judy. I've always been interested in adding south poll blood to our herd but didn't know how they'd work out in our extremely cold climates ( cass county michigan ) since they're predominantly known as a warmer climate breed.

Setting up a bull business makes sense. But befote you explained, I was wondering if you'd traded Buster for another bull with different genetics. That does seem like a reasonable transaction as both farms get a fresh start for several generations.

It wont matter if the grass runs to seed it just means that the grass will grow thicker when those seeds geminate. Better coverage for the land plus more grass for the cattle , pigs, and sheep. Love to see the grass so high well done mate. The grass that is trampled make a good mulch for the ground adding lots of organic matter to the soil, making the ground richer in essential nutrient's that benefits both the stock and the land.
