Good video, I've got an 18month old Frenchie that barks and jumps at the TV. Have had her for four weeks now. Has settled down a little tho when an animal comes on she just get wound up and wont listen. She is physically good around other dogs tho. I'm at a loss. Help Please.

Just wondering what your name is and what your credentials are man? Many things you have to say about French bulldogs are very incorrect and completely just personal opinion. No offense, but it would help to have links to your education I would hope within the veterinary world. PS - my sweet, loving 5 yr old Frenchie would bark until she passed out of you approached my house... She would then recover and as sweet as she is if she felt that I was threatened at all... Good luck to the unwelcome guest. One thing you don't seem to cover in this video is that French bulldogs literally have a mouth that's close to the equivalent of a small pitbull.

My 3 y.o frenchie develops resource guarding for 2 weeks now everytime i put her bowl of food on the floor, she will attack me first before she will start to eat, if she can't reach me coz i jump on the sofa she wont eat right away just after 15minutes or an hour. Every boxer I've had was a natural sight hunter, sitting at windows and glass doors looking for anything chasable to step into view. Whether it be a lizard, squirrel, cat, bird, or even deer, they all would want to give chase, even coming to find me in the house and whining for me to come open a door so they can chase. In their breeding and hunting use, boxers are similar to gray hounds. They are fast and silent take-down animals. They do not "chase" like a hound. They were bred(see AKC standards) to catch prey and hold until the hunter could arrive to kill it. This was all done by sight and a short fast run usually with a tackle. The under bite is to aid in holding the prey. The upturned nose aids in breathing while holding the prey pinned to the ground by the head/neck area. Powerful bulldog jaw aids in holding for extended periods of time. The large flat chest aids in tackling. The ears were cropped to reduce the chance of a bear or pig biting and shredding them. The tail is docked to remove the chance of it being broken on a tree while running in the woods, which I have seen happen and is very painful and hard to get to heal. Their speed is needed to run down and tackle large prey. Their brave/strong nature is needed for confronting prey that can be 10 times their size, mean, and very dangerous. If you read through the AKC standard for the breed it's like a hunting checklist for a dog to hunt bear and pig.

My 9 month old female frenchie started her season 2 weeks ago and is trying to KILL my 4 year old female pug.. they have gone from living happily together to having to keep them separate in under a week. The frenchies eyes turn black and she becomes 100% focused on the pug, total tunnel vision.. I have never been scared of a dog, but now scared of this 15kg puppy..

I have a 5.5 month old blind frenchie that barks like crazy and very anxious. I've trained my Doberman, GSD, Pug, shitzu and, Yorkie without issues. This blind dog is giving me a run for my money. She also has a head tilt and walks in circles often.
